Went to MITB last night. Crowd hated everything. Whatever I had fun.

 

I just watched the weird singing promo for GBOF that I missed last night.



of course they had Matt say "you broke my will"

 

Theres a guy I grew up with on facebook who consistently posts about Seth rollins being 'The future of WWE'. Like he always says it. Seth Rollins 'The future of WWE'. Even when he comments on my wrasslin posts. Its weird.

 

Is this Normal? Has ROH always done action figures?

 

They have since Kevin Owens signed, at least. I remember dirtsheets saying WWE was salty that ROH released their Steen figure just after his NXT debut.

 

There's only three things that I want from this game and I only think one could actually happen

i just want to option to upload audio. i assume that at one time was a thing, correct? I actually haven't played a game since No Mercy.

I still can't get over how insanely perfect the Kanellis theme is.

I really hope this gimmick goes in the direction I hope it is; even just last night Mike reminded me so much of my roommate (who I'm currently irritated with)

2K17 is pretty good, hope this one is even more of an improvement. Glad Rollins is on the cover (should have been on it last year).

 

It being better than how they were treated in the past is a bad argument. By that token, we should just be happy they got a MITB match at all! But that doesn't work anymore, not when they have spent two years trying to sell everyone on how much women matter and how good the current crop of women wrestlers are. When you spend that long legitimizing something, you can't undo it by having a man win the match for a woman.

There were other ways to do it. Maybe Ellsworth hold's Becky's foot as she tries to get back in the ring when Carmella goes up the ladder. Have him help lift her up the ladder. But to have the first MITB women's match be physically won by James Ellsworth is downright atrocious. Atrocious.

And putting aside the blatant sexism, this is absolutely stupid from a footage stand point. Every time they roll out video packages of MITB winners, it's always them celebrating at the top of the ladder. The first women's MITB match footage in three years will be like "why was Carmella sitting on the ground instead of on the ladder?" You've ruined the most symbolic gesture of the match -- the moment when someone ascends the ladder, climbs the mountain to achieve the goal they've worked so hard for. It makes no sense on every single front.

 

They'll probably write themselves out of this corner on Tuesday by having another MITB match main event Smackdown and have someone legitimate win but I still completely agree with your post
