Honestly, I went into the match only only two wishes. One: for either AJ or KO to win and for Ziggler not to. I was still satisfied.

 

Especially given that Corbin is great on Talking Smack. Obviously talking freely on a closed set is light years different than working a script in front of a live crowd, but the potential is there.

 

Also I'm pretty vocally not a huge fan of Nakamura's work since coming over but I will concede that he was ace every second he was out there last night.

 

Nak is great when he isn't phoning it in, which he's been guilty of even dating back to NJPW

I mean, they also told them that wearing an evening gown, dancing, and assaulting another woman unprovoked gets you opportunities that you don't deserve. And that being the dom in some weird love angle gets you TV time. So maybe the ladder match wasnt the worst thing they did last night ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

If they let that ending stand uncontested, and Carmella doesnt have to earn the briefcase further, then Ill agree with you that they've ruined it. But until I see it play out Tuesday (and honestly, through whoever cashes in), Im not willing to say its a terrible angle.

But it sure as hell isnt as high quality as the NXT storylines they rolled out.

The only thing that could save mitb is Corbin trying to cash in on jinder and then the lights go out and broken Matts original music plays

Ellsworth isn't going to work as a heater a lot of the time because he's too goofy and likable. I get not liking him as a character, but as a guy he's clearly just a good dude who got thrown into his dream job by pure happenstance. I have a hard time disliking that lol.
