If the Hardyz do end up debuting this week, I wonder what that will mean for merch and stuff at the rest of their indie dates. Gotta imagine people will be going nuts to grab stuff later this month.

Yeah he is my absolute favorite person to listen to talk about wrestling now.

  4. Just imagine that pop though if they debuted Sunday. One can dream.

LOL. Imagine Cult Of Personality hits and he's just rippin it on the rollercoaster while the crowd is going fucking insane. That will be the greatest wrestling moment of all time.

I have to imagine they'd want to do that for that reason. Surprising us with them on Smackdown would hurt them imo. Raw wouldn't hurt because a lot of people are going to watch for the debuts. I don't think anyone knows what to expect from Smackdown this week. Mania is really the ideal place to do it.

Ideally, I think they should debut them in the match for whatever brand they end up joining and having them go dark and appear in the ring. Keep the conquest for gold thing running, have them inserted in a match, and win the belts right there. They aren't going to be burying anyone by doing it, and it puts the biggest gimmick in wrestling over on day 1.

Buttttttt, they'll probably end up getting the Dudley treatment because WWE.

The Hardyz, Young Bucks, and AJ Styles each have reshaped the trajectory of a pro wrestler in their own ways. The Hardyz by shedding a 15-20 year gimmick and managing to match if not surpass that previous overness without the WWE machine behind them, the Bucks by making a name from scratch on the indies and making bonafide big money without relying on long-term exclusivity to any brand, and AJ by changing the type of gaijin that can thrive in Japan after a decade or two of Giant Bernards, Brock Lesnars, and Dan Severns. Cool time to be a fan and to see them all at the top of their respective games and doing their thing.

I usually like Deans comedy stuff, but, on the go-home show of a feud where Corbin has been trying to murder him...this was one of the dumbest things Ive seen them do.

And again, the women got 3 full segments so they could, what? Have Carmella pin Becky off a roll-up, and have Naomi return? I'd much rather have seen WWE give one of those segments to their laziest gimmick and have Dean/Corbin just brawl before the PPV.

haha, he gets off the coaster finally eating the ice cream the WWE has made for him

deans been watered down because they like him to be funny, but his 2016 was fucking great and its hard to deny. leading up to wrestlemania he was the hottest babyface in the company. ok cool, he loses to brock and loses momentum for a little bit. a few months later he wins money in the bank, wins the title, and is back being at the top of his game. he was a legitimate champion and was hot through the rest of the year, and was having great matches on ppv. the only reason he wasn't the absolute top was because aj has been working on a level above literally everyone else. when the dude is in the main event picture, there is almost nobody better than him, thats how he operates. yeah, the segment on talking smack was bad, but i have a hard time disliking a dude that had a hell of a year.

    also alvarez is an idiot

    No Fun. Not Ever.

Still don't see the appeal of Dean. I mean, he's got a pretty cool top rope elbow, but that's about it.

I thought Dean was horrible last year, tbh. His character has/had no direction. The only thing I've ever seen in him was the night he won the IC title. Him having a 'no fucks given' attitude was a thing of beauty and works for the character.

I wish he would just watch some like Brian Pillman tapes and take lots of notes.

Ambrose is the embodiment of the cliche "best when himself turned up to 11" bit. Can really be a tremendous promo, and can have an awesome match with a top guy without being carried. But he is often written as a Looney Toon, or a crazy man after some arbitrary revenge, and it's awful. When he gets to just be a guy who is a pro wrestler and wants to be at the top of that world, he is so, so good.

alvarez just comes off as the guy who hates everything these days. i unsubscribed from the observer a while ago, but when i was listening he would just complain, refusing to find the good in anything. not only that, but when reviewing raw and smackdown he would straight up get things that happened on the show wrong which would skew his opinion. it stopped being worth listening to.

i agree that no fucks ambrose is the best ambrose, but i also don't mind the comedy stuff. i thought the run with ellsworth was fantastic, and that was all comedy.

See, I thought his "kingpin" run was great. From the build at MITB through that Triple Threat at No Mercy. Playing around as a tweener in feuds, ripping on people who technically were bigger than him or had accomplished more (Ziggler, Cena, AJ) because he was just better than them. Reminded me of the type of promos Ive see him cut in FCW

His Ellsworth/AJ stuff was funny and good time filler, but it didnt do him a lot of favors beyond that.

I hear him say at least 2 or 3 times a show what things he thought were "ah-some".

Its why I want an Ambrose/Cena feud at some point here. His stuff in that triple threat was great, and Cena is gonna have a lot harder time doing his usual "nice speech" routine with him.

i also think he has a serious case of the roman's where he's at the point where he needs to turn so we get to see his vicious side and lay off the comedy. the only reason he doesn't get booed the way roman does is because he's not pushed the way roman is so fans don't feel the need to voice their opinion as loudly.

Yeah, Dean can definitely hit into some untapped potential with a heel turn.

i hope thats the case now. i stopped listening probably over a year ago at this point and it was pretty much just him shitting on everything. he really needed the power of positivity
