I'm on the same page kind of. I enjoy it for what it is, and I actually really dig the Netflix model even if it wasn't their intention, where I can watch it at my pace and plow through a few episodes at a time. Maybe it's just not total my style but I do feel like it's been a little overrated, but I'm also willing to keep going through the end of the Netflix episodes to see where it goes. I'm just not really invested in any of the characters yet outside of Mil and Mundo, mostly because guys trade wins and losses so frequently, and the constant setting up high spots is still driving me insane.

  2. Yes the setting up high spots is ridiculous, especially when you see Chavo doing it. Mill and Mundo I'm completely invested in. I really hate how certain guys are helping others just because why not and it serves no purpose.

Melissa was pretty bad at announcing in season one. I'm up to episode 11, and there are definitely a ton of growing pains. I think when I first started watching, I was just in it for the spots. Its evolved well beyond that. Once it becomes what is basically Mortal Kombat it becomes a whole nother monster. Fenix, Puma, The Mack, Cage, and a few other guys definitely find their characters and make it work. Ivelisse, Son of Havoc, and a person I will leave unnamed are wonderful together. Once PJ Black and Jack Evans start tagging, you'll have a team to love/hate. Taya is also wonderful when she is introduced. I think the character that was easiest to get invested in was Pentagon but it wasn't until his match at the end of season 1 that you really saw it. You could tell there was something really special about him.

  4. See I'm not invested in Pentagon yet. But I like the whole mortal kombat look he has.

    Busy news day from Meltz:

-Mauro is suffering from crippling depression right now. It's something he's dealt with for years. His close friends say he is okay at home resting.
-The ROH deal has been in works since before SummerSlam. If it is purchased, it will remain as is, but WWE will own the tapes. They are essentially trying to remove competition.
    - Maria and Mike Bennett might be coming to the WWE. They've been very secretive about where they are going, but it seems like it might be happening soon. (the spoiler isn't who you think but I'll put spoilers anyway)
-Before the Hardyz left TNA, the Young Bucks were set to make an appearance there.

Meltzer still uses a JUNO email account.

Dude ROH tapes on the network on the network instantly double the value of the 10 bucks a month.

This Jan Ross story is so sad. It really is rough to sit and think about. Poor JR. ugh.

Shawn Michaels says he declined an AJ match. :tear:

  14. As much as that makes me sad, I'm happy he's sticking to his word.

Especially an accident where if she had been wearing a helmet, a lot of the main brain injuries possibly could have been prevented. It's just a sad story.

It's really, really silly to think that at 51 years old and after 7 years away that HBK could live up to anyone's expectations. He shouldn't come back at this point, just like Austin shouldn't. But every year we'll still have speculation and people insisting it would be a good idea.

HBK is one of the greatest workers of all time and AJ is currently the top 1 or 2 workers right now. It would be a solid match with solid build up for sure.

HBK was still in great shape too when he did his one-off Mania thing with New Day. I definitely think he could still go, but I respect him wanting to stay retired.

And he's been universally panned and looks like shit.

Undertaker is one of the greatest workers of all time and he's tarnishing his legacy with each additional match.

He threw a few punches and delivered a superkick. He was in great shape but it's a stretch to say he could "still go" based off that 30 second interaction.

  24. Judging by the shape HBK is in I'm gonna make the assumption he can go still. Sting, Goldberg and Taker are clearly not in any shape as is Austin. HBK is the only one that could pull it off especially if it were with AJ.

HBK is going to wrestle again. I'm convinced. He's in too good of shape and I think Vince will offer so some serious cash for it. AJ vs HBK would be incredible.
