I doubt this is the first time this has happened to a title. There's a tradition of "breaking in the belt". They even mentioned it in an episode of total divas one time.

 

This has been driving me insane so far. I love everything mostly, but that takes me out of it a lot. Especially when they move closer to where the guy is jumping.

 

It gets better as the workers get better...the people featured in the 1st half of Season 1 arent the best wrestlers; a bunch of them are there for story line stuff. Though, there are certainly plenty of times in Season 2 where they are obviously setting up spots. Its just that those spots are usually awesome and worth the small break in disbelief

You'd know better than I if you've made it further but it happens a lot with guys like Chavo so no excuses there, and some of the others that seem (for now at least) like they'll be sticking around like Fenix and Pentagon

 

I guess I'd say it becomes less noticeable, but, in truth it might just be that I adjusted to the style. I watched most of Season 1 and Season 2 while on travel trips, so I'd watch a bunch of episodes in a row. Eventually you just accept it cause the high flying stuff is great. Especially the Trios stuff

 

Yea I'm sure a lot of it is just not being used to the style. I'm enjoying it so far but there's some noticeable stuff that I'm not crazy about. Ezekiel Jackson is still making it impossible for me to take anyone seriously although he is making me nostalgic for the greatest faction in wrestling history.

 

I can't remember if it was in a podcast or a book but basically "breaking in the belt" is having sex while wearing said belt on the night of winning it.

There's an episode of total divas where someone just won a title and one of the Bellas jokes "I know you'll be breaking it in tonight" and then the show ended.

That Paige shit is crazy and doesn't surprise me at all. What shocks me is Xavier Woods and the Brad Maddox involvement. The post on wreddit saying Xavier now deserves a massive singles push had me dying lol. I really hope this doesn't effect him in a negative way tho

But really, I don't get people who do this hacking. Do they realize they won't get away with it, especially when bragging about it so much? Virgins for life no doubt.

 

I love that Simon Gotch is even buried in Southpaw Regional Wrestling. They got TJ Perkins a fake mustache instead of actually using him

 

Yeah, I dont get it either. But you get into a small community like that and what becomes moral and right gets blurred fast. What really sucks is that, if ever there was a chance for Paige to have her story told and gain sympathy and make a comeback, its from this movie. And now this wrench gets thrown into that.

That said, the belt stuff seems obvious. In the 80s had camera phones, there'd easily be thousands of photos of Hulk and others banging chicks wearing the belt.

 

The belts over the years have seen some shit no doubt. One story I know for instance..

My dad used to do room service back in Ric Flair's big days in the 80s. One night my dad delivered room service to Ric Flair's room where other wrestlers were too (I wish I knew who the others were, my dad doesn't know shit about wrestling but he knew Flair). Flair opens the door butt naked, coked up out of his mind, just "woooing" constantly and wasn't packing much... down there. This was also back when steroids were huge. There were other wrestlers in the room with (probably) hookers drinking, blowing lines off a title belt and just wooing. Flair didn't even pay my dad or tip him. Probably the most Ric Flair story ever and I love telling it to this day.

 

A champion wearing a belt while having sex and a champion allowing some other worker to ejaculate on a belt and their own face simultaneously is pretty different imo. She was the first champion and she let a jobber bust a nut on the belt that would presumably be given to the next champion and be held by children at signings. It's gross, and it's disrespectful, and if the company found out by any way other than via a phone being hacked, they would totally be in the right to show her the door.

But that doesn't change the fact that some uber virgin shitlord on an image board broke the law and violated her privacy. Anything contained in those photos and videos should not be used as leverage towards their professional lives, as we have no right to know about any of it. We just happen to because this is the state of privacy in a world where people are too desensitized to give a fuck about each other.

I wonder if maybe it wasn't the belt that she's allowed to keep and not the one that was on tapings and used for appearances.

It sucks how celebrities get judged when stuff like this happens. People act like half the people that are same age don't do the same things also. The only difference is nobody cares if it happens to the average person.

 

All I have taken away is if you are not champ, don't climax on the belt
