If everyone hates Enzo why not have them attack him for Neville?

 

Let me fix that.

Enzo flipping that chickenshit heel switch so quickly...and Neville brutalizing him (at the expense of his title) is a face move

 

If this leads to Neville going to the main roster, solid way.

 

It felt a lot like that.

 

Not really digging the Cruiserweight heels chumming with the faces all against Enzo. Kinda zaps them of their personalities.

If you're just watching raw, your takeaway is that the Crusierweights has 13 random joes, Neville and Enzo. And also Gran Metalik is fat.

 

Neville is the MVP of the Cruiserweight division as many predicted when they said they were bringing it back, dude is amazing and I hope WWE takes notice going forward.
Enzo's mouth should seal his seat in WWE, but WWE is a political realm, we shall see.
Overall last segment was nice, I enjoyed it and cool seeing that division "Main event" RAW as a whole; even if them suddenly supporting Neville is a bit of a huh... but I guess Enzo is that big of a douche? LOL.

Storytelling wise, this is kind of true. Only Dar (who's credibility is gone) and Kendricks really have distinctive, interesting heel personalities. Nese/Gulak are heels because their gimmicks are too shit to be faces. Gallagher just turned

Much like the idea of the whole locker room clearing to stop two wrestlers just before a PPV puts that match over as a big deal, I think the whole division uniting against Enzo, and Neville sacrificing his beloved title to shut Enzo up, puts over Enzo as someone who needs his come-uppance.

Done right (so dont hold your breath), this is how you launch Cedric as a star. If Gallagher was still a face, it'd be where he'd get massively over.

 

It just seems very weird to see Gallagher and Cedric out there together, or Perkins and Swann... it kinda downgrades any level of animosity they wanna sell those feuds having if they are just out there together acting like nothing is wrong.

Have Tozawa be giving Gulak the stink eye. Have Gallagher go after Cedric but Kendrik pulls him back and is like "now its not the time". Have Dar laugh at Metalik line while Swann pulls him back and says "he's just trying to get to you man". Have Cedric at least start to confront Enzo on behalf of the Cruiserweights before Neville interrupts him... serve the same basic dish but at least spice it up a bit

 

More of what I wanted to see. Still too chummy chummy for my tastes, but at least we gotta see some personalty / finishers.

 

did the WWE hire Russo or something? I am loving these shoot style storylines. I wish the crowd got more behind Neville (i think that was the point?)

but i guess it's hard because so much of what Enzo was true.

 

Neville shooting up to a midcard title scene would have me elated, but move him to Smackdown please. It’s ten years ago all over again: Raw’s main event trajectory is a skip and a bounce because the marquee names are all crammed up top. Neville going to SD and answering AJs open challenge, however, would be metaphorical boner city.

I kind of feel like Neville could be a main eventer on SD.
