Weird PPV... I'm not sure if it's as bad as expected, but then again my expectations were very low. They managed to shock me a few times throughout the night and their were definitely a few cool moments.

Six Man = 2/10. (Waste of everyones time. Start pre-show at 6)
    Cruiserweight = 5/10. (Fine?)
Tag Match = 9/10. (Really enjoyed this)
Cena vs Corbin = 3/10. (Actually feel bad for Cena)
Natalya vs Naomi = 6/10. (Surprisingly decent)
Big Cass vs Big Show = 1/10 (Make this stop)
Orton vs. Rusev = 1/10. (Nonsense)
Sasha vs. Bliss = 5/10. (Bland for the talent involved)
Finn vs Bray = 7/10. (Loved the booking; Finn squashes Bray...beautiful)
Shield vs. Shesaro = 9/10. (Good story tellng, good match, good ending)
Owens vs. AJ = 7/10. (Shane stuff got a bit annoying at the end)
Jinder vs Nak = 4/10. (Points is for the novelty. Didn't care for anything else really)
Main Event = 9/10. (Great...thought lesnar winning was fine, but, not my preferred option)

    Final Score = 5/10

    That sounds about right.

I do not really understand the argument with the casual fans appeal. Business whise it is about making money and they do make the most money with the long term watchers and subscribers.

A gym manager once told me that they make their money with long term subscribers and not with people paying for a one month tryout.

Yeah, I clarified with the edit; wasnt defending Jinder, but rather pointing out that if anything, he's less over with casual fans than smarks (and even that is probably just them hating Orton)

"The KFC spot with Shawn Michaels from SummerSlam was written for Ric Flair"

This actually makes way more sense

They should have just used their Ric Flair impersonator.

"After a relatively uneventful loss to John Cena right on the heels of a devastating failed MITB cash-in, speculation is rampant that Baron Corbin has backstage heat, possibly for his twitter antics. Today on WOR athttp://f4wonline.com, Dave Meltzer touched on this issue in a very insightful episode.

Dave stated that after losing to Cena in an unremarkable match that Corbin is definitely being "punished." Dave said that the booking of Corbin in the match did not make him come off as a featured or important performer, but rather "just a guy." After yesterday reporting that backstage is very high on Bobby Roode, and speculating that Roode would be positioned as a top-5 wrestler on whichever brand he is called up to, Meltzer today speculated that he wouldn't be surprised if Roode is called to SDL and gets Corbin's spot. Meltzer commented that the Cena match didn't even appear to be botched or messed up in any way; it was not laid out to be a good match."

Corbin still looked better than Rusev, which is the biggest fucking bummer.

    No Fun. Not Ever.

I posed the question to my friends last night. Who has more heat? Baron or his sad belly?

Was thinking exactly this after that match.

Cena went out there to bury him; and knowing that hes been big in putting guys/storylines over in the past year, Corbin must have really pissed off people for John to be so happy to shit on him. Talking with JBL, the "they aint even thinking about you" during the dueling Cena chants, etc. Hell, the #dumpsterfire thing was off-script last week too.

Though I am still amazed they dont care about Rusev. I imagine he and Lana wont last long-term the way this is going...

There's a lot of stupid things in wrestling, but being punished on screen for perceived ills or living a certain lifestyle or whatever off screen has gotta be one of the stupidest. It's such a immature, childish thing to do. It's part of the wrestling biz that's firmly stuck in the past.

Disagree. Corbin was completely buried. From the stuff Cena did on the mic to losing his briefcase... its hard to see where it goes from here.

RuRu was hit with an RKO outta nowhere. The whole idea is that it can come at any time. The Rusev/Orton match was more a statement on Randy than anything on Rusev. I think there are certainly possibilities for where Rusev goes from here, hopefully a storyline with him getting back with Lana.

I'm glad that there were some title changes, but what a weak PPV overall.

Pretty shocked that Lesnar retained, but It should have been more obvious I guess.

I agree with everything minus Jinder vs Nak. That should be 2/10

Yeah probably. I think on a different card you're right but we saw what 1s 2s and 3s look like and I don't think this was at that level.

But can't argue with people hating it really

    Poor Ho-Ho

“The morning of the match, I still felt normal,” the 30-year-old recalls. “And then when I got to the backstage I thought, ‘Oh my god, is it me next?’

“I was a little bit upset afterwards, I felt it’s not the best match I’ve done. American style is totally different, so that first match is very nervous for me.”

He wanted the ground to swallow him up.

“I see it on my Twitter – ‘Ho Ho sucks’. I said, ‘Yeah, I know’. It breaks your heart but I know it’s true. If I’m reviewing that match, I’d type the same thing on my Twitter.

“But if they criticise me, that means they watched me. It’s better than people not watching me. It motivated me to get better.”

Ugh. After like 10 hours of wrestling, I have to go to a fucking house show tonight. I'm a little excited but was hoping for last night to shake things up a bit more.

Has anyone ever been to one of the Monday night Smackdown shows? Do they show Raw highlights in the downtime?
