From what I’m seeing this supposedly won’t really have any effect for WWE/AEW because they don’t use “true non-compete” clauses. Wrestlers are still paid for that 90 days unless they can get it waived.

I also thought it would be a bigger deal due to how releases get reported but apparently not

Grimes never really reached his full potential in WWE. Trevor Lee was incredible in PWG and I no doubt he'd kill it in AEW/ROH

If the FTC wanted to mess with them, they could because they are functionally non-competes...but I think the FTCs power is much more about getting paid, and WWE pays them for those 90 days. If severance = non-compete length, its hard to argue a worker is getting screwed.

WWE would just literally drop a "X is no longer in the plans" and cut them 90 days later
