AEW might have the rare circumstance where they have too many babyfaces. That top 5 is OC, Ospreay, Eddie...and just outside is an Edge or MJF type dude. They're at the point where they need Danielson and Mox (otherwise natural faces or tweeners) to be heels just to keep people busy

 

Can definitely see it on a random Dynamite....but, Forbidden Door also might be the spot

Also, when Will was giving Bryan those forearm shots on the mat, Bryan was shoulders down and Will had his hand on his chest for like 15 seconds. That’s a cover

I was thinking the same thing after they said the "Danielson went limp" line on commentary, and Will was in mount with his arm on his chest. Though, honestly, thats why you put Bryce in that match and let him know that counting the pin there is silly.

Hilariously, if it was Rick Knox calling the match, I might have bought that the finish was Danielson all f'd up and Will not knowing

Kinda cool that the one ROH show I was able to attend had two future WWE champs on the card. (And of course Omega, and the Bucks)

 

Curious to see the plan for Forbidden Door. Who is hot in NJPW rn? Don’t know what the current storylines are there

 

I think forbidden door will be a bit more focused on CMLL this year tbh

 

finished the show. overall great show, though I did not really enjoy the main too much. Didn't even really love the ladder match either

 

I like that little shit eating grin Jack had when they took the mask off. He looked more confident and comfortable. Idk.

 

Joe and Swerve don't have great chemistry but I thought the match was fine. Felt so short even though it says 18 minutes on the wiki page

 

glad Joe got his run and they put it on Swerve before he cooled off but in my perfect world Swerve is still a heel. Joe was more an ancillary part of a longterm Swerve/Hangman story than Joe/Swerve itself being the story (though i've enjoyed the build the last few weeks)

 

More wrestlers should do excursions in NJPW or elsewhere even if it's a short stint.

I'm looking at you Anna Jay and Stardom.

 

Jack also landed w a thud at first because he was given a great, long story with Christian that hit just about every beat and then immediately upon exit was given a generic heel theme and became a "you people" heel. he has an actual motivation now and it's inarguable that after all the flack we have all given him that the character and the man are enjoying the annoyance in equal measure, it's night and day from sunglasses Jack
