I’ve been watching some YouTube videos, happy with the fixes and changes I’m seeing. Still a little disappointed there won’t be multi-person rivalries in universe, but it’s not a big deal. And yeah as mentioned above the deluxe version still gives you early access

    No Fun. Not Ever.

Bucks standing over Sting, Darby, and Ric's corpses holding the titles up high as Tony screams FOLKS WE'RE OUT OF TIME. Just like god intended.

One random question that popped into my mind recently. So calling people "Nepos" in entertainment is a big thing. I have even heard people call Jungle Boy a Nepo Baby because his dad was a celebrity. But nobody ever throws the "nepo" label at legacy wrestlers. Like I have never heard anybody ever call Randy Orton or Cody Rhodes or Roman Reigns or The Usos a Nepo Baby.

Is it because there is a long tradition of that in wrestling that was previously rooted in practical purpose ( A promoter could trust a kid who grew up in the business more than some mark out of training) so it gets a pass?

my nepo baby thoughts are the same for everything: if a talented person was afforded more opportunities in the realm they're talented in because they have a parent with connections, i don't care. i don't even like Jungle Boy but he fits that bill. between the ropes he objectively has a great aptitude for wrestling.

if Jungle Boy liked acting and used his dad's positioning to, say, lead a TV show, id be mad online/not watch the show, because he possesses no talent there

  12. idk what his injury is exactly but someone said he has a severe back injury that makes it so he can’t lay on it for three seconds and I got a good laugh out of that

  13. we are gonna look back at Miro's wrestling career and just have so many 'what if" moments - dude has all the talent and charisma but it just never seems to work out

yeah people say he's annoying on Twitter or streams and he's a douche and it just makes me glad the only wrestler i follow on anything is Orange Cassidy on Instagram. idfc put Miro and his shitty attitude on my tv

I think Miro is one of those cases where he thought he would be pushed to the moon because of his status as a former WWE talent and Tony just didn’t see him that way. Tony was never going to give him a main event push. I wish they could have worked things out so he could have been a decent upper mid card guy like he was at his best in WWE. Towards the end of WWE he was in a cuck storyline and going absolutely nowhere so refusing to lose is a bit puzzling if that’s true. Refusing to put anyone over is definitely one way to make sure you’re not used correctly in any company unless your name is Brock or Roman.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

It definitely seems like Miro is miserable to try and book and work with. So much talent, but the same issues have happened in two promotions with him now, which definitely makes it seem like he’s the issue. Dude only has like 2 or 3 losses in his AEW career, was booked very strong, and still seems to have complained.

I kinda stopped feeling bad about Miro's place on the card. Definitely seems like it's his own fault

Having family connections in the business might get you in the door but you need a whole lot more than that to make it. Look at Randy Orton and Cody as opposed to Manu and Dibiase Jr. for example. You can say that Randy and Cody are "nepo babies" but they are so good on their own that their legacy is going to be their own.

  19. According to WON, AEW wasn’t able to get the okay to use any of Stings WCW, Midsouth or Crockett footage from WWE (it doesn’t say they asked but I’d imagine they did)

They did acquire his NJPW footage and they’d be able to use his NOAH stuff too if they did reach out. They got a ton of his Apter photos from his WCW days though

On the subject of Miro, I notice that like, the vast majority of guys in AEW who seem discontent with their spot and who are underutilized are immediately labeled as people who won't lose, and that seems weird to me.

Miro, Malakai, and Andrade all spent significant time in WWE and did...a lot of losing. I'm not sure why they'd get to a different company and just automatically assume they had creative control, unless it's just like an "inmates run the asylum" type deal and they see other guys get away with it.

I'm not doubting that they could be ornery or hard to work with for any number of reasons, it just always struck me as odd that the immediate conclusion is "they won't job."
