best DLC in years, and the McAfee thing seems more like a bonus in addition to more regular season pass stuff than usual so i can bear it. DLC pack 4 could stand to release first though imo - a lot of active talent to hoard til September!

man i really might never get sick of Cody lol, it is really insane how hard he smashes every single note of every segment these days. they really may have finally found a babyface that is good for the title beyond just the chase.

I’m so curious to see how he’s booked when he does get the title

 

it's interesting especially now because they have more content than ever to fill and very deep but lean rosters. like we look at the EC card and how different that show felt w a few key absences. so what the fuck does a babyface champ do in that world lol. a face champion just beating dudes to retain is almost always decried as a disappointment.

i kind of think MJF's run is the blueprint, he still rarely wrestled (relatively speaking) but he got to use all of the other shit he has in spades in meaningful segments up and down every show and it worked pretty much perfectly until everyone in his orbit started getting injured

 

im gonna put my dumb fantasy booking down now:

- Sami beats Gunther for the IC at MITB to get his feel good home PLE win.
- Gunther strong arms himself into the men's ladder match by bullying Pearce.
- Gunther wins, announces Cody has one month to live before he takes the belt at either Summerslam or Bash in Berlin.
- Gunther eats Cody, sick zinger about a story
- October draft, Gunther gets sent back to Raw and gloats that w Cody out of his way he will do to the UWU what he did to the IC, hold it longer on than anyone.
- next draft pick is Reigns to give him uh oh face

It's gonna be a bit of a bummer of Gunther defends in a multi-man match at Mania, even if it'll likely be a well told story. He deserves a strong one-on-one program.
