rock always wanted to do the match at mania. they just didn't have a reason to. now with punk hurt, they felt the need to pivot

 

You think Rock wanted to do a match at Mania and WWE was really like "Nah no thanks we'd rather have Cody"?

From an overall health of business standpoint, that is probably the right move -- give your actual stars the WM exposure rather than going back to the legends well. But it also flies against how WWE has been run since the dawn of time so I have a hard time believing its true

 

So fucking stupid i'm glad I didnt' watch

 

Its the same old shit, counting on old ass stars for headliners rather than create new ones or for Cody's sake take him to the next level while he is hot.

i wish they would just give Cody the belt in Perth and do Rock/Reigns nontitle

 

The Rock/Roman match is going to have 5 mins of them staring at each other and the crowd then another 15 mins of one person doing a move then stalling and looking around every 3 or 4 mins then the usual Roman ending after he kicks out of the rock bottom and peoples elbow.

I feel like this is still a possibility, but then what does Cody do at WM? You don't really have time to book a proper feud in a month if he wins in Perth.

How much of a letdown/burial of Cody would it be if Priest cashes in on Cody in Perth and then we just get a month of Cody vs Judgement Day and a forgettable Cody vs Priest WM match that doesn't actually headline?

 

Rock/Roman night one with Cody facing the winner maybe on night 2? Seems like Cody is using the Rock to try to take Roman down, but it won’t work. Then Cody never makes a decision about who he’ll fight and then that lands him on night 2.

 

If Cody can get it in Perth, I guess you could quick build to Cody/Orton

 

Maybe we will be lucky and the rock will get injured before mania
