I have Covid and my wife is making me watch the 2014 Rumble. Such a jarring experience to see a lot of the main eventers today earlier in their careers and not in AEW haha

 

If Hurricane doesn't show up in the Rumble then the whole thing was a failure.

I dont dislike my odds at #24, especially if the mens match goes first (but I doubt it does). But yeah, 14 is the death spot.

 

Rumble only has 4 matches? Sure two of those matches are hour long ones, but I feel like in the past they still did 3-4 others.

It does feel at least one match short, but they've been keeping PLEs to under four hours for the most part.

You figure at least 60-70 minutes for each Rumble match. Probably at least 40 for the Universal title with video packages and entrances, and at least 30 for Paul/KO with the same.

 

yeah it's usually 5-6 total. with entrances/video packages/etc it'll be a full show

 

You know the Roman match is gonna be like 15 minutes longer than it needs to be and overbooked to shit too

I am not going to post it here, but I listened to the Cornette take on the Vince stuff, and it is what you expect. Goes into full on victim blaming "why didn't she just leave?" mode while his co-host struggles to reign him in with passive "come on now Jim.."

 

if it does, Rock comes out after 100 percent

 

Considering that's the last time I thought AEW was great, that would be...awesome.

(I also liked the first half of 2022.)

His clips pop up on my feed when there is a big wrestling news event I can't help myself and have to hate listen. I am a masochist i guess

 

I feel like its always been 5 matches (sometimes 6 if they have some shorter stuff)...but, last year was 5 matches, two of which only went 5-7mins, so yeah, 4 matches kinda make sense.

Probably do mens Rumble, KO/Logan which goes ~15mins, Womens Rumble, and then the Roman main that somehow lasts 30+. Mens rumble went 1:20 last year, could absolutely see it being about that long this year too.

 

i have some kind of mental disorder i guess where i like hearing cornette talk but i almost always go "jesus christ what a fucking piece of shit" when i listen to him lol.
