  1. AEW just hired a new COO a few weeks ago that worked as the WWEs regional director for live events for almost a decade. That should give them a lot of help as the year goes on

Ticket sales suck because they started doing way more shows. It was a mistake all around.

That's a big part of it, too. Collision has become a two hour version of Rampage after only six months on the air. People sense that and have no interest in paying to see it exclusively.

When everything is on Netflix or whatever app just please for the love of god make it better than the shit they have it set up as on Peacock. Needing to fast foreword to find a match and no longer having the icons/identifiers / time jumps to certain parts of a PPV or show are horrific and I can’t believe fan complaints haven’t made Peacock or WWE improve it after the network had that from the jump

Nah, people mix it up all the time. Apparently Gunther was even saying Sunday on Raw last night, haha.

yeah I get it. Especially with it being Sunday nights for essentially ever, hard to break that auto response.

maybe was talked about once AEW started up and started PPV’s on Saturday but shocked WWE didn’t do that during the heart of the PG era. Majority of the audience they catered to were kids, would have made sense to move PPV’s to Saturday so the kids could stay up and watch and not deal with school the next day

And as an old man in my 30’s, when I watch the occasional PPV I enjoy it being on Saturday as well lol

For sure! If a Saturday PPV ends after midnight? Not ideal, but fine. If it goes that long on a Sunday? Fuck that.

Also, pre-pandemic, WWE live sales were so bad that they werent cracking 3-4k for tv tapings and were in the 2-3k for a lot of house shows. They couldnt paper over shows even with like B1 G3 free, and rumors were they were gonna cut back on them majorly because they werent even breaking even. And now the only reason they dont do a 10k gate at every show is because the venue can only handle 7-8k.

Feels like AEW's due to heat back up again come this summer...their stories are clicking, Ospreay comes in, etc. The Canada shows are selling big.

It's kind of crazy how ahead of it's time the Network really was. I remember the risk discussion around launch, and now literally every media company in America has their own, and most don't even function as well as it did ten years ago.

Prestige rules especially for the Roseland shows! Breezedango and Ali is a great start. I also love that they do VIP tickets with a meet/great with the talent. Makes every show feel like a special event.

    Are PPV’s moving to Netflix?

It sounds like they may be moving there internationally, along with Smackdown and NXT. PLEs will remain on Peacock in the US until at least 2026, at which point it's being reported that they'll move to Netflix.
