Tribalism is the worst. We are at one of the all time high points in the industry and half of the fans of each promotion are insufferable morons. Let’s not forget that only five years ago we had NXT and ROH/NJPW as the avenues for decent wrestling on a macro level.

AEW is the best thing to happen to the industry in a very long time. Sure they have their issues but which company doesn’t. WWE would still be putting out a garbage product if it wasn’t for the competition causing them to change their stale ways. AEW also provides jobs and exposure for a lot of talent who would not be making this kind of a living otherwise. Competition is the best thing for this industry and has made wrestling post pandemic as amazing as ever. Impact, WWE, NXT and AEW are all killing it for the most part. We should all be very thankful for that and root for everyone to succeed. All of these companies give us a chance to see the best wrestling in the world on a very large scale that hasn’t been seen in 25 years. This “haha AEW has ratings that suck and can’t draw a decent crowd” schtick is the dumbest viewpoint ever. Actively rooting for a monopoly is the worst thing you can do as a fan of pro wrestling.

 

I mean everyone should be happy that this many people are employed and making good money and can use their options to get the best paychecks possible.

 

None of these anti-"tribalism" posts from AEW fans really land when Tony Khan himself has a meltdown on Twitter and actively encourages "tribalism."

 

Why would you hold that weirdo's behavior against regular people

 

As if HHH didn’t call AEW a “Piss ant” promotion? Promoters say stupid shit all of the time. WWE has tried to put everyone that competes with them out of business so what are you even talking about? Any brand that exists in business uses tribalism as a marketing strategy. That doesn’t make it right when consumers are drones and blindly support their product.

Everyone knows Tony needs to step away from the keyboard. That doesn’t mean that AEW isn’t a good thing for the business lol

I do enjoy seeing people quote a troll I’ve blocked and yet know pretty much know he’s dunking on AEW for some unknown reason.

 

There is wrestling on at any point when I can’t get my daughter to sleep so I’m riding this wave.

Correct, though I'd argue that was not HHH booking it from the start, since he got thrown into running creative at like Summerslam-ish, right?

All his NXT ones were 4 v 4; and they could certainly add people...but wouldnt be surprised if they stuck with that model

 

NWA screwed themselves with that deal.

 

I guess the Cocaine stunt really screwed NWA. Billy Corgan is an absolute moron.

 

Kinda wild that NXT will be available over the air, but RAW/SD wont be. Also, probably a great location for it considering the direction they've taken it.

 

CW move is official. It’ll be really interesting to see what kind of numbers they do.

CW went downhill the second they cancelled their legends of the hidden temple reboot. Idk anything else on the channel, but I just know it went to shit after that
