Finally got around to watching ZSJ/Ricochet and omg the suplex spot on the apron no thank you

 

Enjoyed Roman/Solo & the main event. Rhea/Liv was what it needed to be, I know Rhea's injury prolonged the feud but this needed to end. Mostly glad Netflix lets you skip through commercials & everything so I won't have to record Raw anymore.

TJPW, Wrestle Dynasty, won the DDT Iron Man Heavymetalweight title, and did ChocoPro. Bryce had him a fucking great week.

yeah yeah I am biased but I think right now we are getting the best version of Punk - he's obviously lost a step in the ring but he's still putting on great matches, great promos, and seems to have a better head/attitude about everything now.

 

He also doesn’t seem mentally checked out, he seems healthier.

 

i'm a boomer so i'll always think most fondly of punk in ROH when I was a teenager lol, but his feud with drew was pretty great IMO. thought he looked not so great last night in his match with rollins but the match itself still delivered. looking forward to seeing what he's got in the tank for mania

I will say the personal heat between the two has really helped and made the match better than it would have been without it

yeah we aren't getting the best version of Punk in the ring anymore but he's still delivering great story telling in the ring in every one of his feuds.

 

Punk hasn’t hit quite right for me since his AEW feud with Mox where he came back and had the weird promo where he got all mopey and said maybe he should quit, then Ace Steele came out and gave him a motivational speech. I didn’t love the AEW Real World’s Champion angle (not that it had much time to play out lol), and the new WWE Punk has been so corporate and PG that I honestly thought both Drew and Seth got the better of him on the mic. But he definitely seems more invested in pro wrestling than it feels like he’s been since his first AEW injury, so I’m glad for him.

He’s still my 2nd or 3rd favorite wrestler ever so I’m always hopeful he’ll do something cool whenever he shows up. I still bet he eventually shows up in Riyadh though.
