A reminder that there are so many other Pro Wrestling options to support that aren’t in bed with Nazis, fascists, racists, and the Saudis. Fuck the E forever.

 

I know the Elite are friends with Jericho, but that seems a bit harsh.

 

politically, i can see why you feel that way, and i agree with you.
on the other hand, the general populous shouldn't suffer. they're fans too, and deserve the product as much as we do.

what a weekend of wrestling!! several notes:

- SD shoulda ended with tiffy's cash in.
- i'm feelin the blue mat for sd.
- dynasty was much better than kingdom.
- i woulda had switched the matches up with takeshita. i've seen ishii lose enough on aew tv, that i didn't care much for him in the match. the 18-20 min match shoulda gone to shingo instead.
- 2 solid performances by umino. i see the new young pillars of NJPW in the making with him and tsuji. speaking of pillars:
- GOD DAMN i like me some gabe kidd. he def bring the 'king of sports' presentation to him. kidd/omega is def frontrunner for 2025 match of the year for me.
- GOD DAMN chris on commentary.. i wasn't a fan of him at first. sounded like a real dork. but then i took a few steps back. mike tenay was really an odd man out in the WCW commentary table, but he and tazz in TNA brought out a better side of his talents. hearing chris absolutely BURY tony khan and aew on commentary really made be give more of a damn than i already did in the match itself between omega and kidd, and i think all of his opinions were very valid. put him on the commentary desk with excalibur at the next forbidden door and have them bicker at each other the entire time.
-if rated ftr are so hell bent on taking everything from death riders, then why bother with the learning tree? big bill is the only shining positive in this learning tree stable and the sooner he can do his own thing, the better.

I’d agree with that if that Saudi government wasn’t shelling out millions of dollars to get these shows and make everyone forget how fucked they are. I will never support normalizing bigotry and many of the general populous is complicit in that. I could give two shits if they “deserve” a fucking wrestling show.

 

The rate of which they’re involving themselves in sports and entertainment in general is alarming. They have a complete chokehold on boxing now and seems like it’ll be similar for the ufc soon too.

we've all had this conversation, it doesn't need to turn into arguments

everyone will have their own lines to draw, I won't watch a Saudi show no matter what but I still watch 2 or 3 WWE ppvs a year

it's not a moral failing on any individual (especially here - we're all pretty socially conscious posters) if they want to watch WWE or UFC or whatever compromised/problematic form of entertainment

Oh I agree, and tbh I don’t watch the Saudi shows either for obvious reasons. While I do agree with you I just think it’s silly for people to make comments like that when they probably support entertainment of some sort that’s probably toxic. I honestly had no intention of starting an argument of any sort
