the amount of times AEW has called something a title night or some shit and had almost nothing but ROH/NJPW/AAA titles on the line feels pretty high to me, another dude hoping to have a take

 

at first it seemed like he was trying to take down the last Rock appearance with the dividing the crowd in half. i agree tho, doesn't help that it's not an act built for 3k crowds

i don't believe anything from "sources close to Punk", putting this kind of thing out there to generate buzz for yourself is a move as old as time. HHH runs gorilla and that story came out about Punk being rude to Regal over HHH. guys that seem to genuinely dislike Punk are all over the top and midcard. also, this will be the first big return since TKO, maybe things like that look differently now. def will be interesting

Nick Hausman just dropped an article and said a "WWE source" (CM Punk ofc) told him it's a "safe bet" that he'll be at Survivor Series

 

for sure, and that's what's really interesting to me. it's a tone-setting move in multiple ways

 

A lot of the WWE locker room has publicly stated that they don't like Punk. Rollins being one of the biggest and you'd have to assume that would be the path they send Punk down unless they want Roman to beat another big guy.

I don't think he's gonna have a lot of friends there at this point. Maybe some of the older guys still lingering around. Heyman. Some of the writers probably don't mind him.

Yeah because wrestlers never make things up or commit to a bit in interviews.

I'd imagine the risk of Punk in WWE is lower just because he'll know his lane and be given less power - I've said before the "Christopher Daniels - head of talent relations - being banned from Collision" is probably the most absurd thing he did but I'd expect him to not at all have any type of authority in WWE would keep him in check. That and wrestlers being less likely to go off script.

 

I think they should have punk get chopped to shit by Gunther and then we can see punk cry at a press conference that he thought Gunther was shooting on him

i would imagine there would be a probationary period of sorts, or a short deal with an option for more. the best part is i genuinely think Miz is the perfect guy for him to face coming in lol

 

Punk does nothing for me after all of his drama/BS. I used to be a huge fan, but there’s so many better guys that deserve the spotlight in WWE than him.

 

I just want the chaos, chaos in wrestling is fun.
