I was really confident that Oba had been silently called up and just waiting for the new year shakeup but no complaints. Great match.

 

Just tuned in to NXT for the first time in 2 months and there is a Bloodsport match... But WWE style? Just feels like a regular match with no ropes.

 

And did the announcer really say that the lumberjacks are fans that were in line for the show? Lol there are obviously wrestlers

 

They’ve done a few of them already but yes it’s essentially a Bloodsport match and the successor to the Raw Underground concept that failed several years ago.

 

myles borne looks like a caw that someone forgot to finish

 

Looks like "we've got Randy Orton at home"

 

His dropkick is even similar to Randy’s

 

Was waiting for a rope hung DDT

 

Myles and Tavion have improved a lot. No idea how Myles communicates that well while being deaf.

 

This match has some real dud potential

 

Tavion Heights was doing great in NOAH, that had to help him improve.

 

was not expecting a Cattle Mutilation in the womens match

 

Sol snatching every soul out there

 

Zaria already looks more like what WWE wanted Jade Cargill to be after this match than all Jade matches combined.

 

Yeah, its 100% the best concept around. That final minute was wild as hell.

 

All five women killed it

 

Was even better than last years match, which was also really good.

 

Wren Sinclair will absolutely be a big deal one day

 

With Guilia, Zaria, and Stephanie together it honestly would have been hard for this match not to meet or exceed expectations.

Sol and Wren held their own and I think both should at least be North American champions in the next year.

 

Crowd popped big when they thought she was gonna take that 2nd fall.

NXT womens division is deep as hell. Like, they're slow-building to a Gulia/Vaquer title match (I presume around WM) and they've got a half dozen other women who are right there to be the next challenger after.

 

Tonight ruled, fun atmosphere even if it was a smaller event

 

Did we talk about how Ricochet invented AEW in here yet or no?

 

Just as bad a shoot promo as he is in kayfabe.

Though, he's almost certainly correct if you count up the Ospreay/Richochet matches that really did create an indie sensation + being the face of Lucha Underground. Like you can argue he's more responsible for AEW existing than Hangman or Jericho or a decent chunk of people who are clearly more "AEW original" type dudes.
