Love that ending. Absolute chaos and a lot of different stuff going on. Mixture of NWO/best parts of the attitude era. Overall a great show that I enjoyed much more than when I went to Wrestledream.

 

Hangman hesitating to give Christian the contract. Jay White costing him. White calling out PAC. Darby doing Darby things to get to Mox. Willow back to fuck up Marina. Yeah, Im in.

 

Another thing I’ll shout out AEW for is doing a bundle with this show and Worlds End that was $15 cheaper. As a loyal PPV buyer that stuff is appreciated since these shows add up. After tonight, I’m very excited for the Continental Classic and pretty much every angle they have going on outside of MJF/Cole.

 

Love the PPV bundles. I hope the MAX PPVs are as cheap as Triller as well.

And yeah, the fact that they get to launch right into the Continental Classic (which means 60% of the show books itself with a built in focus) should make it a great run through Worlds End and Wrestle Dynasty.

Need them to find some focus in the womens division heading into next year though. Mariah->Toni is obviously setting up, but they need 3-4 more stories going to get that belt off Mercedes and have challengers ready.

 

I might be crazy but I feel like they are building a group to fight against Mox's guys at World's End where everyone either has their own agenda or just plainly hates each other.

Death Riders VS OC, Jay White, Hangman, Darby. Throw in Marina VS Willow just for fun.

I can 100% see it being an Anarcy in the Arena or B&G style match instead of a traditional title defense.

Mox, Claudio, Pac, Yuta v Darby, OC, Garcia, and Briscoe. Hell, find a 5th member for each...I'd 1000% bring Eddie back as AEW's 5th man, could see Jack Perry as Death Riders 5th just out of hatred for Garcia. Marina v Willow is a nice match to build for that show too.

Though man, the pop that 2.999 got for OC. That match feels like Sami v Roman in Montreal. Two diametrically opposed characters, a red hot crowd for the moment...a real chance to shake things up in a way people remember YEARS from now (like putting Mankind over the Rock). And to cement two cornerstone baby faces of the company.

 

Also, as badly as they've botched the Killswitch/Christian thing, Im fantasy booking in my head a reformed Jurassic Express winning the belts at like, All In. Jack Perry's done enough to show the range, but not sure he has a lot of juice as a heel beyond this, and there's way more squeeze in a Jurassic Express that isnt quite so campy in the tag division

Both have a common rival in Jay White, whose been going after them after what happened in the Owen Cup. Christian, who has the title shot contract, promised Hangman a title shot once/if he beats Mox.
