Personally I’m cool with paying 50 dollars a PPV to support the product, it generally only is 4-5 times a year and every PPV I’ve bought definitely are worth it. But I also get it if others rather not.

but they should make the library more easily accessible to an app like hbo max too though.

I do agree on making the Library more accessible. They should be making it as easy as possible to fans to watch past PPV’s and episodes of Dynamite. It also needs to be easier to order PPV’s. BR sucks ass. Either HBO Max or Fite would be much better.

But I’m also willing to bet you I’m not the only one this boat. Also that’s a shitty way to think buddy.

I could have phrased it better. I should have said blame the economy, not Tony. I mean WWE used to charge $40 a month for 12 shows a year. Tony is charging a fraction of that for much better shows.

UFC ppvs are way more often, much shorter, and less quality overall and charge &75. Thats insane, but thats the market. $50 is perfect for what is provided. We used to have to pay like 34.99 2 decades ago for WWE monthly PPVs that had a great main event and absolute trash undercard usually lol.

It doesn’t matter 50 bucks right now is pretty steep in this day and age with how things are. It’s that simple. Tony, whom is a billionaire should be able to budge.

I was gonna mention the UFC cost being what keeps AEW, from lowering their costs, but the big difference is UFC PPVs have become content for contents sakes and they don't have a huge incentive on their end to keep their buy numbers up, no? Doesn't ESPN just pay them a flat rate?

Budging would be to the determinant of his company. $50 is a very fair market price for what they are producing. I think the consistent stellar PPV butyrate’s are proof of that. Unless he gets a streaming service to pay him for his shows like WWE, it makes zero sense to lower the price of his shows. I’m honestly surprised he hasn’t raised the price. UFC has raised the price twice since AEW started.

For the record, my point about ppv pricing was less about if it was too much or whether it was worth the cost, but more about the price being a barrier of entry for new fans.

Yeah you’re right, I forgot about that. ESPN gets the buy rate money, they set the insane price.

Monthly shows for 50? Too much

50 for quarterly shows? Completely acceptable.

  15. I don't mind the $50 - it's only four times a year and each PPV has delivered so far.

Do I WANT to spend 50? No! I don’t want to spend money on fuckin anything!

If they set the mark lower, let’s say $35. People would bitch if they ever raised the price. I feel like $50 is a reasonable price that won’t go up for quite some time. I would be down if they did some smaller shows that were cheaper, like the In Your House model WWF used from 95-97.

See I could absolutely get behind that.

You don’t even have to spend $50 to buy an AEW PPV, unless they closed the VPN trick again.
