Yep. What made NXT so amazing was the storylines and characters, and the elite levels of pro wrestling. It was also just an hour at Full Sail for so many of those pre AEW years.

I loved the old NXT from 2015-mid 2019.

AEW may actually get the best out of the E by HHH making everything NXT black and gold quality.

I mean, they've very nicely set up those two triple threats to have Ciampa and AJ win and face off for the shot at Lashley.

Eh, there's some Summerslam stuff he surely didnt control. No way he controlled the tractor spots (had to be in the works for weeks to get everything lined up). Almost certainly didnt control the Kane spot or that Kid Rock was a theme. I'd also bet stuff like the Rousey/Liv finish was decided in advance. His big contribution was picking the surprise returns/run-ins.

That said, I still expect RAW/SD to be pretty similar through Clash just because its hard to do a complete reset of two shows, especially when the main champ is locked in

 

I am genuinely looking forward to Raw tonight, I can't fuckin believe it but I am a believer.

In my eyes, it is no surprise at all that any of this is happening. Vince was truly a fucking life-sucking leech when it came to WWE in EVERY conceivable way.

Again, not saying we are going to see an AEW/New Japan high level product right away (or at all) but improvements are happening and going to happen just because of pure logic.

 

If he can even book it at 1/2 of what his NXT was
