Overall, a very sports entertaining show

 

Great show

 

I was very sports entertained

 

I think we can be less worried about them running Brock and Roman for the 9401th time these days

 

Haven't been sports entertained by a whole Premium Live Event in a while, that was great.

 

Wait so there was a KO promo during this show?

 

It was like a hype/highlight package

 

Definitely still some elements that are just embarrassing, like Cole actually still calling them "The New Vicious Viking Raiders", and that Ronda finish...and whateve the fuck gear Rey was wearing.

But the Bayley return faction, that final match, and then just the general vibe from Cole felt better. Hopefully they can build something interesting by Clash at the Castle that makes me want to think about watching WWE TV again

 

good, he needs to be front and center of this entire company

 

I think the ad-free viewers get that stuff while us poor premium people get ads

Basically why I stopped watching. Got sick of him being wasted...think the last KO match I saw til the Stone Cold one was the Roman/KO last man standing

I would KILL for Sami/KO to be a big WM program done right

In the abridged version, yeah. First two matches and the main event were definitely worth watching. And then your call on whether you want to watch Pat McAfee. Def skip Mysterios and Rousey match though

 

KO was legitimately my favorite wrestler for a while and then it just became impossible to look forward to seeing his matches.

 

I got back into wrestling off that infamous 2015 rumble, so my first real exposure back in was Seth cashing in at WM31, and then KO debuting against Cena shortly after, which got me to watch the next NXT event, which was Takeover: Brooklyn. Almost impossible not to be introduced to the cornerstones of current WWE better...KO, Finn, Bayley, Sasha, Seth, etc...and even fun stuff like Vaudevillians and Blue Pants. And there was that little window in 2016, from WM->Battleground where they did the Sami build so well, and then KO became champ, and Ambrose got his shine, that I though they were actually gonna do something interesting as a company.

And what I got was endless Roman title reigns and Jinder and Goldberg and all the nightmares. Was crushed when he didnt go to AEW, because he would KILL it there.

 

Yeah I'm glad KO got paid but you imagine how good seeing a KO vs Eddie or a KO and Eddie vs literally anyone tag match would be?

 

Hell, take where they are now, can you imagine a KO v CM Punk feud with dickhead Sami chiming in on KO's side. Or, personally I hear so much of KO in the tone and style of Hangman Page's promos, so give me that feud x1000.

I actually think Sami more than anyone would kill it though...put him back to the true babyface and give him everything they give Darby and I'd be sooo much happier

My wife owns like 3 Bayley shirts and a Bayley christmas sweater. Its basically Bayley and Finn (which, yeah, I get) that were her favorites.

Dont even have the heart to explain to her what Bayley has become.

 

Watch the end of the first match and you'll see. Middle of the show I'd say largely the answer is no...commentary felt fresher/less forced in spots, but also they were at one point commentating on a Pat match so that helps.

Main event really did feel like the kind of spectacle they havent done in a while. Some of it was surely the plan to get it all there in time...but, it felt a lot more like a Takeover main event level chaos than a standard WWE PPV.

Basically 2/3rds the PPV was so clearly booked (or agreed to) that Im not sure it could have been changed. But clearly some stuff was changed within the last week.
