He hangs out outside the arena and concourse taking pictures with folks. Never takes the bag off but seems very approachable from what I've seen. Been doing it since his injury how ever many months ago. Feels like a year at this point.

I think a lot of it was it being peak Bullet Club / Elite. The 1 - 2sweeeeeet thing is the worst thing to happen since the WHAT shouting.

 

i once started a "ONE MORE SONG" chant after Tenacious D played their first song and they left the stage and came back out like the rest of the show was an encore

Alvarez also reporting that WWE had tryouts today, remember they aren't hiring 'indie guys' any more, and he had some sources telling him that they will probably be hiring indie guys real soon again because the tryouts are not going well.


Shocker.

 

They never really stopped hiring indie wrestlers. It only stopped being a priority.

 

They did though, they fired like 50 of them and then look at what NXT 2.0 is. A bunch of inexperienced geeks they have just signed.

 

The last announced PC class was about half indie wrestlers including Rox-C and Cole Karter. The other wrestlers weren’t known names but they weren’t totally inexperienced either.

 

A solid amount of people on NXT 2.0 absolutely should not be on TV. The only reason there are competent matches for many of them is because they practice them alllllll week before wrestling, which is not the norm and not a good way to learn.

If you are defining indie wrestlers as people have wrestled before for any promotion for any amount of time, that's not what i'm talking about.

We are talking about well established guys and girls who have already had a big fan base from an ROH or a PWG etc etc. WWE is currently signing college athletes for the most part in these tryouts. That's what Alvarez is talking about. There is a clear distinction between who Triple H signed and the NXT 2.0 signings.

 

Rox-C is amazing and the exception, still she is extremely young and was on ROH when it was at it's least popular for a short amount of time.

 

I heard Bryan’s comment. All he did was state what someone at the tryouts jokingly said about probably going back to indie guys soon because of how bad it was going. Not even sure if Bryan is that reliable but anyway…time will tell on that front.

I agree that rehearsal isn’t the best way to learn but working on their own is what their house shows should be for. I watch the show almost every week and the only offensively bad talent they feature regularly are Lash Legend and Nikita Lyons. There’s a lot of potential in a decent number of rookies there.

 

Right, but it's been a phrase used regularly on the show and in news reporting since the massive layoffs happened (of mostly 'indie guys') because Vince stated he didn't want indie guys anymore once Triple H was off of NXT, idk man it's pretty cut and dry haha. They literally changed the name of the show and the entire look of it because of the massive shift of types of workers they were signing, 90% of the names were completely unknown.

It wasn't a joke, they meant it!!! Are any of us surprised the tryouts with people who have rarely wrestled in their lives are going terrible? Lash Legend was one of the people running the damn tryout!!! That's a joke.

It's pretty likely ( I would say a guarantee) they are going to sign well established men and women again since Vince (the psychopath who laid off a ton of amazing talent) is gone. Alvarez has always maintained ultimately that will happen because there was no way Vince's dumb fucking plan to teach new talent.

Alvarez is super reliable. Just the other night he was the first guy to report Brock walked out of Smackdown.

I'm not sure what the argument is, at one point there were signing every single person involved in PWG BOLA and then the next moment they were hiring people with good-looking strong bodies under 25.

 

Aside from the bullshit banter in the beginning, the Kevin Nash podcast is tremendous.

 

Finally watching Dynamite..how did no one say anything in here about Regal saying he was happier than a dog with 2 willies that Danielson is back lolol

 

Regal's commentary is so good; the little bit with them training to turn their heads when they're getting smashed into the mat to minimize the blow is exactly the level of kayfabe I want people to go down into
