I agree, but let’s not forget this PPV is for a hardcore, niche audience and not one for casuals. NJPW hasn’t exactly been hot the last few years. Given injuries to your top 2-3 stars, tough competition from sports, and a build towards a PPV not everyone will care about, it’s not surprising to see that number fall. I admit the build has not been the best, but everyone knows the show will absolutely deliver and tons of stuff should happen tonight. Hopefully the number will rebound tonight and following the PPV.

 

If I never have to hear about ratings ever again, then I could die happy.

I know this is a common cop out but I genuinely think the Stanley Cup played a major role. I can see a major crossover betwen AEW and big hockey fans, there is a similar vibe there somehow.

I know ratings took a big hit last stanley cup too.

No other reports -- a lot of folks think its weird that they'd have him out to "talk about the show" and it being him saying he can't work it, but we'll see.
