FTRs feuding with United Empire and about to face them at Forbidden Door...if you put the AEW belts on them it complicates things. I'd suspect the point of the ladder match was to give the hardys a short run, and not with the Bucks winning.

How is Max the Impaler in-ring? Never seen much of them, but they have one of the absolute best looks in all of pro wrestling and I can't fully understand debuting them on Dark Elevation and having them lose to Nyla. That's the perfect non-title feud to run after some build up

 

I remember when Jay first started getting a big push in New Japan, I wanted him to succeed but god he looked like such a geek. The transformation he has made is incredible. What a mega star he came off as during that promo. Fucking stoked for the lead up to Forbidden door now.

it was just wildly irresponsible to sign jeff hardy and put him in ladder matches in his shape, even before the dui. he needs to leave wrestling, get the serious help he needs, and be a family man at home. he has a young kid at home, he's made his bones, he's like 45 years old. he doesn't need to be wrestling in extreme matches anymore.

Logically, for non-wrestlers, that's the obvious choice. For performers addicted to the rush of performing for thousands of people every week, it's an addiction of sorts. That's why Ric Flair is taking bumps in his 70's with Jay Lethal.

 

I can't imagine what its like to have a widely publicized addiction problem but also be a successful public figure. @bigmike is right, it's easy to look and say DUDE JUST QUIT (which is what i'm saying lol) but this is all Jeff knows and he can still get paid big time for it. His biggest hope is if AEW fires him and then he won't be able to do WWE or AEW and will be forced to find a new path.

That's how it is with most people, all the bridges and opportunities need to be burned down and wasted before the individual can actually get some desperation and admit they need to make major changes.

Hopefully this is it for Jeff but it starts with AEW firing him.
