Both rumbles stunk

mens more specifically was some of the most uninspired stuff we’ve ever seen from a company that’s been wildly uninspired for years. I don’t think anyone came out of last night and was like “WrestleMania is gonna be sick”

Alright, the final tally of the Rumble cards is up, neither of the Rumble draw winners turned in a card, so that made that pretty easy. So, drumroll.........

Hotly contested card with most everyone within a few points of one another. Weirdly, I think it was my accepting that Roman would interfere and cost Brock that won me the card. The mens rumble was brutal for most.

 

Card really shows how predictable WWE is. We basically all got Becky and the Intergender Tag right, and I dont think any of us expected a DQ finish for Roman. And the womens division is so thin we basically all got that mostly right.

But nobody could have predicted how bad the Mens rumble would be booked

Rushed due to time even though we wasted a good 15 minutes with a random ass Sasha hype package after we made her look super weak and had the mixed tag match got on forever lol

If you count wrestlers I’ve never heard of before then it was quite a lot

 

If it makes any of you feel better, the Australian Open final ended up lasting five and a half hours? But Nadal won, so the crowd went home happy

 

KO will retire and go into the wwe hall of fame when he’s done, I think (good call whoever said he’ll have a good GM run at some point). I don’t know if AEW can compete with that dream. No matter how jaded I am on WWE, little kid me would give up a ton for a HOF career in WWE.

You know, I would have been cool if Styles or Orton won. But they were both booked to look like turds as well.

 

Boring show, as expected.

 

I feel like my biggest complaint was they used both members of so many tag teams.

Use one guy from each or something. A lot of 2.0 guys could’ve done well with a rumble spot last night.

 

Vince hates NXT he won't be using them again lol

 

There were only 25 announced people, so technically 5 were surprises. Brock/Shane/Bad Bunny are the definite surprises...not sure else who entered but wasnt announced.

 

What's sad is that in hindsight I would have not minded seeing Corey Graves return after the shit they gave us.

 

Not only that, theres a BUNCH of singles guys they didnt use

Cesaro, Apollo Crews, Cedric, Balor, R-Truth, Mansoor...they didnt use any of the actual big guy tag teams (Mace + T-Bar or Erik/Ivar), and they didnt use their KOTR in Xavier Woods.

Pretty hard to explain using Madcap or Dawkins or a few other guys over any of them.

 

I think Woods tested positive for covid or has some kind of injury, can't remember which. Very weird that Cesaro, Crews, and Balor weren't in the rumble
