Dax's podcast is the kind of thing thats gonna make it hard for him to return to AEW at some point. Just shit all over the current champ this week.

Current champ deserves it tho - it’s not been a good reign and he’s the weakest title holder in AEW’s short history

but seriously AEW desperately needs to get the title on Danielson and really completely reset and refresh the company in the build to Double or Nothing

 

because honestly if MJF retains who's the most legit contender AEW has to face him? Unless they really think Punk is coming back

 

I haven’t listened to the last episode but Dax is more critical of himself & how he handled things in AEW. The cohost has kind of been his mouthpiece with airing grievances & such but it’s nothing that nobody already knows. With WWE he sounded truly unhappy & if Road Dogg is there he ain’t coming back.

 

Hangman, a returning Adam Cole, Omega returning to Singles competition, Jericho will always have that sense of legitimacy to him, etc…

 

I think Road Dogg knows where his bread is buttered and will do whatever HHH tells him to do. I’m sure he’d like to keep his job. Vince had already gotten rid of him didn’t he?

 

Adam Cole would be my pick but we have no idea when he's returning to the ring (apparently this month) and it's too risky to put the belt on him with his injury history. I guess you could throw Hangman and Omega back into the fold and they are both deserving of being 2x champs but really if you want to add prestige to the AEW heavyweight title then you need someone like Bryan Danielson to hold it for a bit.

I'll never buy MJF as a serious or good champion - his gimmick is stale, his feuds are always the same, and he's whatever in the ring. Just a real stinker.

EDIT: actually Darby Allin being the one to take the belt off of MJF would be the fucking right move. It's weird that he isn't on this PPV

 

AEW really needs to get rid of this brass ring thing. Looks so stupid hanging up there. And lol to all the refs holding the ladder for him. Wardlow should have never cut his hair. Now he looks even more generic

 

Obviously I’m just now watching Dynamite but damn we are still doing Christian/Jungle Boy???? And Christian just keeps stumbling through these promos?

And what happened to the other private party guy? I remember when I complained that they shouldn’t have beat the Bucks in the tag title tournament and everyone was like oh now they are made but what have they done since then? And will we also ever stop with “here’s Matt Hardy with a random assortment of dudes for some reason?”

Edit: why would Ruby break up that fight instead of letting her two opponents take each other out? That’s some WWE logic right there. And holy shit I didn’t even recognize Keith Lee.

 

fair. There’s also enough agents working that they probably won’t have to cross paths much. Will probably depend if Dax wants to travel on the WWE schedule.

And I love MJF, but he just doesn’t need a title to be great.
