Yeah it’s weird to say, but MJF as champ is doing nothing for me. He isn’t wrestling, his promos are getting rather stale and the feud with Brian is too by the book. It started over a guy that isn’t even in the company anyone and while these matches Brian is putting on are great, it’s super predictable. MJF getting over as the anti hero baby face is killing any heat he had before. Half do the crowd cheers him of whatever he is saying in his promos. At this point there’s at least five guys I’d rather see as champ than MJF.

 

Joe’s part of the tribute video is so hard to watch. That was rough.

I’ve kinda been in and out of dynamite the last few weeks but is MJF really doing the “you have to wrestle X amount of people before me” thing again?

 

Yes, though in this case it ends with Danielson getting to pick the stipulation. But, its incredibly stale, and I dont see any world MJF holds the belt past DoN without a radical shift in how he does feuds.

Right now, Hangman and Mox and Acclaimed/The Gunns are running better main-event level feuds than MJF/Danielson. And I would be stunned if MJF can pull off a 60min Iron Man Match

Well he’s been doing the same shit for like 3 years now.

 

I’m not sure it’s even just an MJF thing. All the champs stagnate when they get the belts in the company. It’s frustrating.

 

The Jericho one at least had interesting styles. And the CM Punk one had a few interesting fakeouts (the bullied promo, Wardlow seeming to turn in their first match).

This...I mean, the story is right there that MJF wants to go to WWE, and Danielson is the perfect tale for what happens to an undersized guy trying to be on top in WWE. You gotta work more matches, take more risks, etc. If anything, it should be Danielson manipulating MJF into running a gauntlet

 

I think Kennys title reign was incredible. He’s the greatest storyteller in the world though. Other than him it’s been pretty rough.
