My basic takeaway from the LA shows is that AEW should routinely push more PPV-level matches to their weekly show. Even the Eddie/Ortiz v HOB match is a better showing for HOB than their usual squashes.

Feels like thats what AEW had through a lot of 2021 and early 2022...just 2-3 PPV level matches every show. And they wouldnt even blink at doing title changes or 60min draws or stuff like that on TV. Give me the eventual Sting v Darby match on TV. Give me the next Kenny v Ospreay match on TV for 40+ minutes. They've got a whole roster of people that dont even need to cut a promo to build a feud.

 

That was the least annoying he's been on commentary. And oddly enough my mind is really blanking...was JR only on Rampage commentary? For some reason I dont remember him on Dynamite, and only really noticed his voice during the womans match.

 

Is it bad that my thought during the match was "Ruby is either going over or they're actually trying to kill her."

This week was the 3rd highest rated Dynamite of all-time (after the Brodie episode, and the Kenny/Hangman v Lucha Bros and Wardlow v Cody cage match episode).

Not the highest rated Rampage...though the one Punk returned at is comically over-rated...but I'd still say the #1 Rampage was as BCC was forming, Danielson v Trent and Mox v Yuta. Rampage before Full Gear is up there too
