1x Wrestling Thread Predictions World Champion Prestigious

I wish they'd just make raw 2 hours

Yeah I’d actually check out RAW it wasn’t so long. I always read results and there’s easily an hour of filler between unnecessarily long matches and goofy segments that are disposable.

I wouldn’t watch any WWE if DVR and YouTube didn’t exist.

I’d be surprised if their next TV contract didn’t cut back down to 2 hours. I also don’t think they’ll stay on USA

I’d be surprised if they moved from USA given the tie in with Peacock, established partnership, etc.

They are called The Blondes now because Mark Stirling bought the trademark "Varsity" for tag teams so the team he manages are the only ones that can use it. Storyline happened on Dark Elevation so nobody know about it.

Both parties benefit from the show being three hours. I doubt anything will change.

Only way they leave USA and drop an hour is if they move to network tv, which I don’t see happening

Pretty Deadly vs. New Day at NXT Deadline. The shenanigans here should be amazing.

eh i think theres a real chance nbc gets the rights to smackdown and bring everything to nbc and peacock. we'll have to see

If Im WWE, I love the current arrangement where I get showcased on two major networks...but yeah, I see NBC folding them in together. Honestly, I kind of expect NBC to buy WWE outright. They're paying like $4-500mil/yr just for the PLE's and RAW/NXT...to get Smackdown in the fold as well you're talking what, $6-700mil/yr. More if the deals go up somehow. In a 5 year deal, you hit more than 50% of WWE's market cap.

    end of year discussions

    Best Non-Wrestler
Awarded to the individual who performed the best and contributed the most in a non-wrestling role in 2022.

    Most Improved

    William Regal for best non-wrestler

Ricky Starks/Daniel Garcia for most improved. I know they've always been good but they both had some really great moments this year

Feels like this might be the hardest category to answer. I mean, obviously Regal played a big role this year, but, in AEW alone I'd want to name Excalibur and Taz...and even Smart Mark Sterling had a pretty huge year. And Heyman's still a big part of WWE's hottest angle.

I guess HHH would go in the Booker category, not non-wrestler? Cause if he's up for this, its him hands down. Nobody has played a more transformative role than him

Yeah Willam Regal is easy choice for me.

For most improved I’d go Cole Radrick or The Acclaimed.

Yeah Acclaimed is one for sure if tag teams count

See, I think The Acclaimed and Ricky Starks are both just people that finally got the right angle to be pushed. Kinda similar with Dax getting the platform to shine as a singles guy.

My vote is either Liv Morgan, maybe Powerhouse Hobbs?, or perhaps The Gunn Club? If I watched NXT, it sounds like thats where all the right answers are.
