people are tuning out during elite matches because it’s same old same old even tho fans like us love it

but TK is wasting so much talent right now - Darby is wrestling a Factory reject Garcia is stuck in the stupid never ending JAS-BCC feud where’s Miro where’s Hook

TK needs to have an about face and really figure this out or hire some writers

He probably shouldn’t have bought ROH

The show was decent on Wednesday, but the storyline went of the rails if Regal is actually leaving it threw things off big time. That crowd also sucked big time and didn’t respond to anything but the main event. MJF tried with that promo, but the crowd was lukewarm on everything. It definitely brought the show down for me.


ROH is such a big waste. Jericho has been doing great work, but besides him it’s so disorganized. Random matches that make little sense. They have a PPV next weekend that has three matches announced and two weren’t even announced until this week. FTR is being wasted and there’s not a lot of established talent for ROH in general. No wonder this thing isn’t going to sell well especially since it’s on the same day as a UFC PPV.

We just need some fresh matchups and feuds on the show

 

We are finally getting acclaimed vs FTR tho - that was filmed during rampage

 

To be fair, it went way too long, he really didn't say anything he hasn't already said, and it didn't get interesting until he knocked Regal out.

 

Oh, I agree. It wasn’t the best promo I’ve ever seen, but part of the reason it went too long is the crowd could have given a shit less. However with how hot MJF has been he could say anything during most shows and the crowd would be losing their shit.

 

There was a lot of chants invoking the F word during his promo so I dunno if those got lowered

 

I heard those. I think it could just also be acoustics of running half empty arenas. In some markets I think smaller venues would work better. I’m excited for AEW NW debuts next month. Both dates have sold super well and the crowds have been starving for AEW since he indie scene up her is super hot.

 

I'm probably the only one that really cares for this, but I'm pumped to see the boys dressed as lumberjacks again.

 

Yeah they didn’t put half the arena on sale for tickets

 

They made the right call last month having the Toronto show at the AHL arena, rather than Scotiabank Arena - made for a full arena and hot crowd. I'm sure it cost a fraction to book too with more scheduling flexibility.

This. I hate sounding like Cornette but i completly tune out when it comes to the elite now. Young Bucks are just annoying, i am more and more annoyed of the useless referees allowing every YB match being a tornado tag. Kenny is good, but i dont enjoy him with the elite stuff.

All the tools are there, but rn it's just not clicking in aew. You have talent like FTR, Miro, Darby Allin and u basically dont give them any high profile runs ir tv time.

A company with Bryan Danielson, Mox, FTR, Darby, Adam Cole, Kenny Omega, Miro, MJF, Hangman etc. should be at the top of the world rn. But the writing is just lame lately.

 

I love the young bucks and I love watching them wrestle - I’m not annoyed by them at all I just think the booking needs to be re-evaluated

for the record i agree with the roh criticisms, even tho the next ppv will undoubtedly be a banger

 

I mean, is the tornado tag match format really a unique criticism of the Bucks, or how trios wrestling had been booked the world over for years now? Which fair enough, if that's not your jam, or you otherwise still find them annoying as performers. I just don't know if that can entirely be placed at their feet - other than to say it's probably not the best use of Kenny to always have him work alongside them. Though even that, which feels like has been going for a while, only has produced a couple matches, due to their suspension.

Edit: I realize now you may even have meant their matches before the trios division was created.

 

I've been a huge proponent of AEW since the beginning, but it's clear WWE has taken back the momentum post-Vince.

TK has had some bad luck and also made questionable calls. I love The Elite, but in no way is a 7-match series doing them favors to fans or detractors.
