Dont get me wrong I love Christian, but he is not what you'd expect after Wight's announcement. This has to be a huge star, not an Impact like swoop.

Edit: pardon my europeanness, i think the correct word is scoop, not swoop.

 

I don't care for Christian or Edge

 

I think it being Christian was reasonable after the initial announcement, but in the time since I think they've probably oversold it. But it seems the most likely, the hall of fame worthy stuff was a huge tell and it makes sense to have Wight introducing someone he's actually familiar with and knows well.

I will say I like Christian, but I don't know what he'd bring to AEW at this point. Don't see an obvious place he fits in the pecking order of anything and I think the roster's getting really close to having too many bodies at this point.
