I’ve always said her moonsault is shit and pointed out in a few posts above that that is the only thing Charlotte does poorly so it’s weird that they continue to have her do it

I hate her booking - she’s clearly one of the ten best women performers in the company

 

They book her like she's one of the best women performers in the company...lol

I get what he’s saying to be fair. They book her at the expense of other performers who are just as good and could use the rub more than her.



Idk I just still haven’t gotten over her beating Asuka at WM

 

I think it was the match at Evolution against Becky, she went for the moonsault with Becky on the table and landed how she typically does, which obviously didn’t break the table, so they called something else on the fly and she went with a senton that looked awesome. Can’t figure out why she doesn’t use it more, especially in place of the moonsault.

10000% fine with her using her moonsault to the outside.

 

I get it... I just don't know why it's surprising or something lol. This is how they book their chosen ones. Roman got the same treatment. They clearly view her as one of their stars for the long-run and don't feel the same about some of the others.

 

The three guarantees in life...Death. Taxes. Being unable to pay taxes because Nia nearly killed you in the ring.

 

Yeah my problem is more with their booking than her. Basically they’re screwed if she is out of action for a long time because of how they’ve used her.

 

I get that, I just don't agree. I think you could have said the exact same about Roman and they're doing about the same without him.

 

WWE has been terrible at booking long-term top babyfaces for over a decade, it's why their ratings suck. I get why Drew gets so up in arms about Charlotte's booking. She's very fun to watch, it's annoying watching her pin everyone though.

 

Roman's booking since he came back from cancer is/was perfect

Charlotte's booking is similar to the booking Cena and HH had during their peak - which fans hated as well too

 

I still don't understand why Charlotte is the NXT champion - what has that decision done for that show? the women's division is an unorganized mess and the ratings are tanking even against the low standards the pandemic has brought towards live TV.

same thing with the decision to bring Bianca to the main roster - where is she? Why isn't she having the rocket strapped to her back? She's one of the five best performers in the company.

 

Just because something doesn't work doesn't mean it was illogical though. You bring Charlotte to NXT because A) her winning the Rumble and challenging for it helps continue to legitimize it and B) you hope bringing back charlotte flair, horsewoman, daughter of the nature boy, one of the top performers in the company, jolts your ratings a bit during an incredibly unprecedented situation. Maybe it didn't work. Maybe nothing could have. Who knows. But just from the outside looking in, I get it.

Charlotte isn't a performer that moves the ratings - that was proven even before the pandemic.

NXT was already seen as a legitimate promotion - basically the best promotion in the company - Charlotte (nor Becky nor Sasha nor any main roster wrestler) is needed to legitimize any thing in NXT

it's just shortsighted booking which WWE excels at.

 

anyways I'm annoying about this subject so I'll stop (for now)

what wrestler would you want to see WWE do a 5 part doc in the vein of The Last Ride next?

 

Legitimate to you. But WWE doesn't cater to just you, ya know? NXT saw massive ratings spikes during Survivor Series when main roster characters were appearing because the larger main roster audience was tuning in. Then that storyline ended and they went away. So why wouldn't you try it again?

 

I don't particularly like him, but Orton. Between the legacy stuff, the drug stuff, idk i feel like there's a lot there. Anyone but the Kliq lol

 

yeah those ratings spiked because they used Becky and Bayley - two wrestlers fans actually react to. lol

 

and the Smackdown ratings spiked because of the NXT wrestlers which proves that the promotion is already legitimate lol

 

NXT’s ratings go down with Charlotte Flair in the main event

Charlotte Flair’s presence failed to close the gap on AEW’s rising viewership

she doesn't move the ratings needle

 

Orton would be my pick for a doc

 

Cena would be interesting if they get into the whole wanting to turn heel and never getting to, and maybe get him to really open up on all the criticism he's faced while carrying the company and stuff, but I'm worried it would be waaaaay too much happy company man cena lol
