Dynamite was amazing!

 

They take out the lip syncing, that Karrion Kross entrance is fucking great. The entrance theme was killer too. No pun intended.

His whole build up has been fantastic. Looking forward to what they do with him.

 

I’m really digging heel Johnny and Candice too. The biggest babyfaces make the best heels and they’re proving that.

And Dexter Lumis is great too, love that we haven’t heard anything from him yet as well. Normally having someone wrestle loads with no promo doesn’t work (see Cameron Grimes or Swerve, who are fantastic in the ring, but don’t talk anywhere near enough), but Lumis being quiet and creepy almost acts as a kind of promo. If that makes sense? I dunno.

 

Karrions entrance was great. fuck the haters.

I really wonder how Scarlett is used. She isn't the best in ring person, but having her as a mouth piece or bait kinda character could work. Do something similar to Enzo/Lana but you know, not bad.

 

She’ll be used well for a few months until they’re realise she’s the bigger “draw” than Kross, then they’ll split them up because reasons and all the heat they will have built up together will be lost.

A quick take on AEW.

It’s starting to feel a little too WWE laden now.

I think this might be largely due to the heavy involvement of Harper/Matt Hardy as of late.

I still think it’s great overall, but they should scale back the immediate rocket push of the former WWE guys. Probably not easy to do though...

 

I thought it was pretty cool.

 

I know MJF has said that he could never go to WWE but they are going to offer him sooooo much money one day. I say he goes

 

At a quick glance, it’s almost like there’s two shows. Ex-wwe guys seem to work with other ex-wwe. Then there’s the Indy vs Indy portion of the show. Of course it’s a bit more nuanced than that though.

 

Why have Lee/Mox already? I’m excited to see matches between them but obviously one has to lose and it’s too soon.

On the other hand it’s nice to see Mox break away from the inner circle though

 

I haven’t watched Dynamite since the crowds are gone. I just can’t, it doesn’t work. It was the same with football (soccer), it just doesn’t work as well without fans.

 

I really enjoy that the guy who for pretty much his entire career has had the gimmick of "biggest asshole in wrestling" seems like genuinely the most wholesome person there is.

 

Think we knew this was coming but..

 

I'd fully expect the remainder of ppvs to be at the performance center for the rest of the year, with a slight possibility that they could have some fans at the PC by like October. I'm not sure how realistic that is either
