I think thats kinda the point though. They clearly believe that there are fans that want both legit angles, and this, which I actually think they're right about. Reddit is loving the thing.

I didn't hate it, likely because they were basically advertising it as a must see trainwreck for the entire week, but its noticeable that this was so very clearly Heyman.

Would like to say though, going to a 15 minute over-run for that segment is absolutely insane. This episode made it so outrageously clear that the third hour is a huge problem, and the last thing they need is more time. Raw is a good two hour show. The first hour and a half was legitimately enjoyable, and then it fell off a cliff.

 

I have noooo problem with them running a train wreck program. Sometimes it’s fun to just be as trashy as possible.

 

As someone who doesnt like Trashy TV and likes actual wrestling that has good story telling, that shit sucked.

Wedding was exactly as bad as I expected, but man, I love that they created such a trainwreck of a segment (overly long, so many random interruptions) that I completely forgot about the giant cake Rusev was obviously in.

Feel bad for Liv though. She's 25...this is the kind of thing she might not be able to overcome if its Emmalina level bad going forward.

 

The thing is, the company can fix anything. Anybody can come back from just about anything if the company cares enough to do something about it. But 99% of the time they don’t care or are too lazy. She’s not ruined yet but give them a couple of weeks.

I am honestly shocked that Reddit of all places is pretty positive about that segment. I don’t know how I feel about it. Yeah it was the worst segment ever but almost in a self acknowledged way??? Idk. I don’t care to see more of it, that should have been the blowoff. But it’s also not turning me away

 

that segment fucking sucked, but it will he one if not THE biggest YouTube clips of the year for them, and at this point it's on us for expecting different. we have NXT, AEW, ROH, and GCW creating more amazing content than i can possibly consume. got bored of complaining about Raw and SD and expecting change somewhere along the last decade. there will always be bright spots and the PPVs are still pretty good, they can fuck up the rest all they want and ill just keep ignoring it

 

Facts. Ever since the Lana/Rusev/Lashley stuff started, it's been all over Twitter and the most viewed videos on WWE's YouTube channel. So even though the wrestling folks on Twitter I follow and this thread all universally hate it, it's a great reminder that we're in the minority of wrestling fans. There's a reason why even though NXT and AEW are both insanely better than Raw, Raw is doubling the numbers of either show

 

I’m actually surprised how much of this thread keeps up with raw and smack down. Haven’t watched anything main roster related since hell in a cell (I think) and I’ve never been happier since getting back into wrestling in 2011. AEW/NXT is more content then I need wrestling wise.

 

Honestly, I tuned into Raw specifically for the segment, so I'm part of the problem

Yeah that’s mostly what’s on tv these days. All the reality shows and weird soaps. People have no shame watching real housewives or kardashians or whatever, so there really shouldn’t be any shame in watching something like this. Now if you don’t like it, there’s plenty of alternatives now. So you really can’t lose

Ok I’m here for this take. I think he seems like a good dude who just got a lil horny so we’ll see indeed. I don’t usually like OG Bach as much as ‘Ette but I’m looking forward to this season way more than the last 3 doofuses.

 

Every once in a while the IG algorithm really comes through in the clutch.

 

Raw did 2.4m and the 3rd drop was insignificant. The people, they love them weddings

 

this needs to be the WM ladder match in April: Ricochet, Carrillo, Andrade, Mysterio, Black and Murphy in a six-man ladder match for the US Title
