Kairi too tiny to break the table

Why didn't Becky pull the rope?

Asuka should've taken it with her. Other than that great match

Overall four matches that looked good were good, the match that looked like it would be okay and do interesting things with the fiend storyline Wass okay and did interesting things with the fiend story and the two matches that looked like they would be super boring were super boring.

Vikings vs OC should've been better but overall that PPV delivered exactly what I expected it to

 

really enjoyed the women's match. completely filler ppv though, but definitely had better than expected wrestling

 

Main event never felt like it got into a groove. Felt like they rushed the spots where they should have slowed down, and were too slow when the pace should have picked up. Also, was fully expecting to see an Insane Elbow from the top rope while Becky was tied to that ladder, which would have been insane. Some cool moments and spots, but just didn't click into the gear that that the New Day/Revival match got in

 

Yep, and it got really obvious when Becky had to twice call spots including that finish where the camera caught her telling Asuka to go to it.

That ending though...what a dumpster fire that is. Kabuki Warriors get 5 seconds of music because Roman has to stand tall? They're gonna get him boo'd at the Rumble again

 

I still liked it a lot. But definitely think New Day vs Revival and Black vs Murphy were better.

 

Did not help that the camera work was all over the place for that main event either. Like @preppyak said, zooming in on Becky calling spots multiple times with both Asuka and Kairi, giving us the worst angle possible on the powerbomb Charlotte took through the table, focusing in on Charlotte giving a chop to Asuka instead of Becky teeing off on Kairi with a kendo stick.

 

Maybe I'm being too harsh on it, but expected a lot more out of that match and it was fine but just never really seemed to click to get it to that next level. Especially since there isn't a bump that Asuka or Kairi aren't willing to take, and a TLC match is tailor-made for Charlotte to bust out some truly insane aerial/athletic stuff.

 

Kairi in all likelyhood got a concussion during the match

 

Yeah I saw someone say that and everything kinda fell into place. Charlotte is gonna catch a lot of heat for going through with that powerbomb

 

Camera work was next level bad, for sure. Becky takes out Kairi so they can do the Charlotte moonsault-tease-to-powerbomb, and a camera stays and focuses on Becky for way too long when she's doing nothing...two or three other really obvious situations like that where the main work was elsewhere and they were focusing on the filler.

My absolute favorite moment though was the two refs clearly clearing tables/ladders/chairs out of the way for spots in the camera view...then about 30 seconds later, they get to the spot where Charlotte's about to powerbomb Kairi through the table and there's a chair in the way and Charlotte yells something like "you didnt move the fucking chair"...and then murders her through the table really close to the ladder sitting underneath the table.

Basically, there was no excuse for there to be 6-7 ladders ringside when they used two. No excuse for them to clear the announce tables then use separate tables, that were constantly in the way, for multiple spots that EASILY work with announce tables (the Kairi elbow could be mid-ladder ->announce table...the Charlotte/Kairi powerbomb could have just been to the German table, etc).

It looked like whoever laid that match out didnt want them all through positioning and where to do the actual spots....or someone got hurt early on and they called a lot of audibles.

 

The spear to set it up was all sorts of awkward...the way she tapped her in a way that didnt even look like an attempt to fight out of the move, but more a signal...it'd explain why the 2nd half of that match really fell apart. It'd also make me bet that Becky called an audible and told Asuka to go to the finish if she saw Kairi was out.

 

There's that; theres actually an awkward spot a little earlier when they were clearing the monitors and one got tossed right at her head...and then there's the elbow spot off the ring apron that she didnt hit...but her missing that spot makes me think she was hurt before then (she's hit far scarier spots than that)

If she was hurt midway in the match and not removed, its super messed up. If the people (Charlotte aside) working the match know it...gorilla knows it...and they've got to have a backup plan ready for a match where people can obviously get hurt.

 

Actually, it might have been the monitor. It doesnt break away when Becky throws it...hits Kairi, and she wobbles. Which would mean she took WAAAAAAY too many spots hurt
