Looks like New Day is getting a podcast and I fucking love that so much.

I enjoyed Full Gear a lot, slightly better than All Out and not a bad match on the card. Loved the main event, but hope they start doing those matches more rarely as they can seem not so special if they are done too often.

Full Gear was AWESOME. My biggest takeaway is HOW ABOUT THAT CROWD!!! They were invested in everything, they're willing to play along with stuff, and it just makes the whole thing so much more enjoyable. Amazing.

Great night to put over Inner Circle, Moxley, and SCU.

Match of the night. Tough call. Bucks match best technical, Cody best story, and Mox/OMega was "holy shit" with the hardcore stuff.

MJF turning on Cody was obvious but hey i alwaysssss tell wrestling fans. Sometimes obvious is FINE. It's a new company. Lets go with some obvious stories, that will be great because MJF is obviously a heel, Cody's super over and Jericho has to be champion for a while.

    Very fun show.

Overall I thought AEW was fun but maybe my least favorite of their PPV's thus far. Cody/Jericho stole the show for me. Tag matches were great. Moxley/Omega was undeniably great and I hated every single second of it. If it weren't Mox/Omega I would've turned the match off, as it's just not my style at all and I've never been able to get into hardcore/death matches like that even as a kid, so the main event really killed the momentum for me.

JR was fucking terrible. Run with Tony and Excalibur exclusively, please. JR honestly ruins the product for me similar to Michael Cole for WWE; they both distract me away from what's going on in the ring versus complimenting it.

I will say that I'm rather dissappointed with JR. He gets too excited and messes up lots of stuff. However I'll take him over Cole any day as Cole is a robot with zero genuine emotions. JR just needs to learn the product more and calm the fuck down at times.

JR needs Schiavone or a third person at thy e very least. You could tell there was something missing. Some great calls though, his reaction to MJF was perfect.

I really like Isiah Kassidy's high pitched screams he does before some of the moves.

I probably would have enjoyed that heel turn if I didn't already think he was a heel. He wear a Burberry scarf FFS. Never trust a person in a Burberry scarf. Cody deserved to be turned on for trusting someone wearing those scarfs in the first place.

Now if I want to nitpick, which I'd rather not and hopefully mjw gives a reason but a wrestling pet peeve is how come mjf waited so long to screw him. Unless that wasn't his original intent? Cody almost won a few times

Well, I finally saw Full Gear yesterday, and boooyyyy was that disappointing. Nothing much until the Cody/Jericho match was of much higher quality than Dynamite.

Young Bucks/Proud and Powerful had some GREAT selling by Nick and it really made the match, but this was just the first match in what seems like a long program, so they held back a lot of stuff.

PAC/Page was really good, and was better than a dynamite TV match. PAC is so unbelievably talented and can pull off anything. High flying, chain wrestling, brawling, story telling, the man can do it all and make it look amazing.

Spears/Janela was a wet fart that didn’t need to be on pay-per-view. This was nothing until the spiked piledriver.

The three-way tag match was just a bunch of moves that randomly ended, and showed how green Private Party are. I love those dudes, but they still have a way to go. Why was it even a three-way? Because it was first place vs second place vs third? Okay.

Riho and Sakura built into something pretty great, and was the second match that was above AEW’s TV standards.

Cody/Jericho was out of this world. Just great storytelling. Almost perfect.

And then the lights out match... wow. What a turd. These 2 dudes are so talented, and the thing they resort to is hitting each other with stuff and falling off/into things. Cool. A regular wrestling match from them would have been so much more entertaining. Not only that, but the lights out match like 3 weeks ago between Omega and Janela was infinitely better than this. And that was streamed on YouTube for free.

what a completely disappointing PPV. Not worth $60 in my opinion. You get nearly the same caliber of wrestling on Dynamite/Dark for free.

Is it $50? I dunno, I use a Plexshare, and I was at all the other PPVs live, so I never bought any of the others.

    What is plexshare tho?

A plexshare is basically like pirate netflix. If you find a good one, you can request whatever movie/TV show you want and it's uploaded for whoever has access to the plex server. I basically use it for TV stuff that's not on Hulu (like Dynamite) and for HBO stuff, because I will not support AT&T.

I really liked the Lights Out match. And i'm not normally a fan of some of the ridiculous hardcore matches and especially not death matches. Not that it was a death match, but I thought it was done really well. They sold that they didn't like each other and still got some standard wrestling in there too. Just a good, fun match IMO.

Maybe I'm being too hard on the Lights Out match. I was entertained during it, but I still can't shake the feeling that Mox and Omega would have had a better standard wrestling match. I also think it was odd that they went straight to the hardcore match without anything to really build to it? I felt that there should have been a couple other matches that led to it.

I think that's a fair point. That I dont know if we really got a reason for them wanting to do this hardcore stuff to each other. Out of all of the matches it was the match I fast forwarded the most because I wasn't that invested in their feud.

Was full gear worth $50? Probably not. But 80% of the card was great stuff

Haha it's pretty cool. Adam Cole and a few of the UE guys have commented on it.

    No Fun. Not Ever.

The match on Saturday was honestly the first time I ever enjoyed a Ambrose/Moxley match.

I respect the decision, they want the harder route in terms of pleasing a fanbase with extremely high expectations. Like I said the other day, I loved it because it was a story being told without 20 near finishes after a finisher having to happen which is usually what people go wild over these days.
