i agree. i guess i cant even really say how bad the themes are because i can't really hear any of them. They sound like generic rock stuff but i can't really tell.

 

skimmed throught NxT. Overall, AEW clearly won this week. A lot of great stuff on NxT but AeW does feel like the 'bigger', much more important show. I know NxT isn't the 'minors' really anymore, but it's the THIRD show of WWE. I'd rather give the flagship show of a new product the time.

 

Roman vs Seth to kick off Smackdown. Winner wins their brand the first pick in the draft.

 

why.... why would either of them care who gets first pick? Like the only, onlyyyy thing that would make a little sense is Roman wins and he picks Seth so he can win the universal title (or some shit like that)

 

Roman can win and still end up on Raw

 

That’s what I’m most excited about. It’s be easy to put over SCU or some widely-known entity, but to put over private party who a lot of even wrestling nerds haven’t been exposed to (at least I hadn’t seen/heard of them before aew) is confidence in the wrestlers abilities and the audiences open mindedness. And they killed it. So good.

Yes!!! This is what has bothered me and I couldn’t put my finger on why I hated all their music so far. Another one to file under WWE’s superior production value.

 

Finally watching Dynamite. Private Party were so impressive. I wish Quen didn’t have those tails on though.

Here's one thing about AEW that i'm very much loving so far. They're not trying to pretend that the entire fanbase has identical opinions. They don't hide that some people cheer for the heels or have signs or their shirts or whatever. I think back to the Cena/Punk MITB match where Chicago is going insane for punk and commentary is working like crazy to say "noooo! you actually like Ceeeeeena!"

 

Yeah it sucks. They seem to have taken that from NJPW. The WWE way is far superior.

 

The Janela interview is great. Love it.

 

I was wondering why Private Party’s celebration in the crowd was so damn long. It was on commercial. That was really fun.

 

It was so cool! One of them came right up my section haha

 

I fucking loved the tails.

 

Swagger needs to work on his threatening look. He just looks confused out there at times.

I also wish Ortiz would stop doing that thing with his tongue. It’s so distracting.

Darby is going to be a star but I didn’t really like the ending sequence of that match.

Pac was great on commentary.

 

NXT was great this week. Swerve is gonna be a star. Him vs Roddy was probably my match of the night. Only slightly pips Kushida/Walter.

Talking of that match, Mauro referencing a fucking Madvillain track and name dropping MF DOOM before it popped me more than anything else on the show haha. The indie hip hop fan in me loves that.

 

Sounds like Fox execs want Smackdown around 2.4 million viewers come the six month point.

 

Also ITV have fucked up the upload of AEW onto their hub, so it’s only available to watch the app and not on TV. Idiots.

 

I finally get it. Sammy Guevara looks like the guy who plays Flash in the tv show.
