I wonder if any of the people that put-down Ronda Rousey over a year ago are high on Cain

I only ask because it's more or less the exact same situation (but worse)

 

I hated the whole SD booking:
-disrespecting Kofi like that..
-except for Brock, all heels lost
-the indestructable booking of Roman still annoys me

 

Also no idea who the last guy was

 

Ok watching the show now and this is the weirdest show I've ever seen. Nothing thats happened so far has been bad, but its moving at such a quick pace because they're trying to jam pack this that nothing really sticks. I like the use of Fury, but only if it actually benefits Braun at the end of this. The Kofi stuff is bad...really really bad. Not only did they just completely kill their champion for the last 6 months, they made the 2 mma guys significantly more important than the wrestling guys. That's a big reason why I'm worried about the Fury thing as well. Kofi had to lose the title eventually, and losing to Brock isn't a bad thing.. unless done the way they did it. I don't even dislike Cain being there, or even that program being for the title. But man, I can't get over how bad of a decision this was

 

I didn’t watch it last night but I was reading along. Using a massive homophobe in Fury and the title match ensures I won’t ever watch Smackdown.

I was curious during the week. Thinking maybe this will pull me back in to the main roster stuff. No, it did not.

 

Did bayley ever re-sign? I remember looking early this year and I'm pretty sure her contract expires later this year

 

Brock/Cain scheduled for Crown Jewel lol, maybe this is just a quick in and out deal. Ugh

 

He could be the single most charismatic guy in the history of the world, he’s still a homophobic, anti-semetic, sexist piece of shit. Fuck WWE for letting him anywhere near a mic.

 

‪Well, Smackdown was shockingly bad. They put that homophobic piece of shit Fury in two segments, completely pisses on Kofi’s reign as champ and end with a couple of MMA dorks staring at each other after slapping each other a bit. I wanna watch wrestling, not these two sacks of soggy shit pat each other.

NXT aside, this week has reminded me why I don’t watch main roster stuff anymore. ‬Even AEW, which I was sceptical about, looked good compared to these wet farts of a show.

poor Kofi. Bad timing, bad timing. I have no problem with Kofi dropping the belt to Lesnar, but that was kinda, kinda not a great way to do it. It's a shame because when Kofi became champion i thought they were going to do so much more with the New Day. SOME teasing on breaking them up, SOME teasing of jealousy etc. You didn't actually have to do it, but that was the most exciting aspect of Kofi being champion was that it was going to give New Day a refresher.

Otherwise, it was a pretty bad ass show. I love the entrance. Holy fucking shit at the Becky overness, so awesome to see. Everything else was more about putting on a big show than anything else. Strowman vs Fury, ok? I don't know much about boxing or mma or whatever but i guess it puts eyeballs on the product. Owens winning and putting an end to the worst feud of the year, thank god.

Two person announce team...also thank god.

 

and idk, you guys could complain about nostalgia acts and all that but they did give Becky, Strowman and Owens quite the showcase. Especially Becky and Strowman. I mean they STARTED the show with Becky! and the Rock. hot damn

 

That’s not surprising and good for them even tho it’ll just justify more terrible booking

 

I hope Jeff Hardy just gets help and stops wrestling, he needs to change his whole life or it is going to end fucking horribly

 

If Smackdown gets a larger audience chasing the MMA crowd is that necessarily a bad thing?

Different shows can cater to different audiences and overall bring in more total fans. You'll still have AEW and NXT. But ultimately, every wrestling show isn't gonna appeal to every wrestling fan so expecting every wrestling show to appeal to you is a bit silly.

 

I just want it to be consistent

 

I can’t believe there are only 4 matches tomorrow

 

But I’d love a 2 hour PPV

I didn’t watch smackdown but everything I hated about Ronda coming in is how I feel about Cain being in: it fucking sucks

 

I think the thing with Cain is he just wrestles brock though, I would be shocked if they have him win a bunch of matches climbing over the upper mid cards back like Ronda did.
