The optics of the new upstart underdogs being in a sold out basketball/hockey arena and WWE’s counter programming being in a building that seats a few hundred are very funny.

 

Lime green shirt dude is there in his usual spot haha

 

God damn, this Riddle/Cole match has been stiff.

 

Funny part is a SD or RAW can only get that building 60% full; but an NXT Takeover like this would easily fill it. FOX and USA are paying way too much for the wrong brands

I mean, probably unfair, as I'd expect AEW's debut show to have a big crowd, but it's really obvious that there are more people there than have been at most Raw and SD's this year

The crowd looks massive, I really dig the lighting and everything they are using

 

If anything I think these two shows on, on a Wednesday show and the crowds being hot as hell really just shows out of touch Vince has been for so long.

 

Not convinced this isn't a shoot fight with Cole and Riddle

 

WWE was handing out 2-for-1 deals for the recent SD there. I was still seeing 30+% of the tickets available the day before when I was looking at going

 

Some cool camera angles too that WWE largely doesn't use.

Oh, they're doing time limits to matches in AEW?

 

I don't see how wrestling can be more fun than this match right now

 

There were a ton of empty seats at Raw at MSG. Way more than I expected for a NYC show
