But yeah, I dont get running out Heavy Machinery v Roode/Zigler and Cedric v AJ tonight. Having KO beat Shane to end SD makes sense over trying to book them against the HIAC matches; but they could have likewise saved Nak/Ali for that as well.

Ah I can’t be mad at the Brewers they had a 3% chance of making the playoffs on September 5th / it’s a miracle run without the MVP

 

Lacey/Nattie was garbage. Sasha/Alexa was pretty bad too...most of the camera was focused on Becky standing on the desk. Viking Raiders/OC was a dead repeat of a recent match...as was Ricochet/Cesaro...as was Cedric/AJ.

Of the three new things they rolled out, the only good one is one involving Brock that probably has no future on RAW (as I have to imagine he is on SD)

If AEW rolled out a show that looked like that Wednesday, I'd call them dead in the water.

 

it's only one week but so far i am very UNIMPRESSED with this raw commentary team. I couldn't even hear that one guy, Dio? And Vic sounded tepid and nervous. And King....why the fuck is king still announcing? He was good at ONE thing during this 90s, being the 'slimey, creepy heel' guy. Going "ha ha" and "puppies"... he's not actually a good broadcaster.

When Lashley came out and was signaling for someone king goes, "oh boy, i know what this is...":. Huh? How do you know that? He covered it up with "it's probably the fiend". Lmao WHAT? No one is thinking that. Then Lana comes out, "i knew it". Terrible. Absolutely terrible.


I like the opening segment of Raw though. Lesnar attacking the Mysterio family...i dig it. Everything else did nothing for me. 5 on 5 crown jewel match is...is who cares. Although i did love when Rollins was announced captain "I know I have a title match tonight against a mystery opponent, i know i'm wrestling the fiend in hell in a cell on sunday, but sure, i'll just do another thing too I guess?".

Maybe it was too soon to put Bray in this role because it is diminishing returns already unfortunately.

Rusev/Lana angle... don't like it because it's not believable. I'm sorry, but maybe that angle works in 1995, but Lana and Lashley? Come on now. It's not even an effective 'heel' turn for Lana. You have Rusev wrestle Lashley and she hits him with a chair or something. Come on everyone knows that.
