I'd put decent odds of it happening. Aint no way he's showing up on Smackdown...but, trying to help out the XFL at the expense of the NFL is right up Trump's alley.

 

Naito challenged Ibushi to a winner take all match on January 5th. I could definitely see that being the main event. Kinda makes the result of the night before very predictable though.

 

Not a fan if this happens. Besides making it clear Ibushi would defeat Okada like you said, there's not really any good outcome to a Naito/Ibushi title match at that point. If Ibushi loses to Naito, that means he held the title for one day. If Naito loses, it's pretty clear he's never going to win the big one again.

 

Still feel like AEW is not promoting all out enough rn on social media, especially youtube. Like, it is a week away and their channel is putting out like a video every few days. And the last few BTE's also didn't focus too much on all out storylines. Are they too comfy rn?

Ive watched this man book the Universal Title to Brock Lesnar for like 70% of the last 3 years...including entering the MITB match in the final minute to get it this past time. He'll do whatever he wants and public logic be damned.

Ok. Well, the real answers are they went to Saudi Arabia in defiance of public outcry. They brought Hulk Hogan back. They named a WM event after Moolah. They routinely trot our Warrior stuff. Vince does not care one bit about controversy if he thinks it makes him money. Getting press attention via Trump fits right into his style, especially for a venture that's gonna fail.

I think the locker room would mutiny if he tried to do it with Smackdown...otherwise I genuinely believe he'd try there too.
