Meltzer was talking about what companies can do for when wrestlers get concussions during matches like Britt Baker did the other night. He said companies wont do it because fans would get pissed probably. At least for AEW i don't see fans getting mad, working a match after getting a pretty damn severe concussion like she did HAS to be insanely dangerous. They really should implement some kind of concussion protocol or something in AEW if they really want to be this progressive new age wrestling company.

 

Yup. They should have called the match once Britt got concussed or at least run something to get her the hell out of there.

 

isn't Taven locked in for at least a couple of years? i saw a lot of speculation as to that being a big reason he was pushed in the first place

 

With 3 AEW shows in the past now, I can say that minus some problems with the comed, production, etc. I am really happy with the product. I really think they will get better. I mean, 3 shows and it is so good already. Now imagine them getting some more "star" power with PAC and Scurrl and i think we are in for a potentially amazing product in the future.

Also I don't share the hate toward Spears. I think he is great so far.

 

I actually thought this was fine. Kofi needed more wins, Ziggler coming out of nowhere has some credibility, and now they can go back to not using him while giving KO the squash. Its exactly how they should be using Orton, Mysterio, etc.

Would you rather hear the same Dolph promo every week as he battles Ricochet?

 

I’d rather have a good creative direction for Dolph.

 

Give him a new gimmick, new music... Anything. WWE creative is so afraid of serious change.

There's a lot that could be done with DZ.

I do like what they are doing with KO. And Taker looked great. Those were about the only positives from the show.

 

That Black Mass to Cesaro looked so fucking good.

 

Ziggler is done. Has been done. Him and orton I'd only use for special attractions once a year.

The only creative thing I could think of for ziggler is to make him the leader of a faction for someone new. A new tag or new woman or new anyone. Manager role or even be the new gm of nxt.

 

Loved how they had cesaro successfully block like 3 moves in a row before that too. Like cesaro was quick and smart but couldn't block the final one. Talk about a match meeting expectations

 

Remember Sami Zayn was getting great responses to his promos a while back?

 

Just another half-cooked idea that was dropped without reason.

 

Thats when they originally tried the face KO too. Fucked that up too. Glad to see someone has had a change of heart with that one at least.

 

They just didn't have anywhere to go with zayns character. After a while it became redundant and not getting over.

 

I get the feeling this is gonna be a uniquely terrible RAW. Normally the preview has 5-6 things fleshed out and a little capper with 2-3 more "by the ways" that might not make the show....tonights has Brock, The Club, and Nikki/Alexa and thats it. No "what will Lacey and Baron do now?", no "whos next for the The Revival", no "Will Truth find the 24/7 champ".

Meaning they havent locked in about 80% of the show yet to tease.

 

Was watching with my girlfriend right around this time. A few moments before this she goes this looks so fake. Had her watch the replay of the black mass....oh yeah that's definitely not fake....ouch.

 

Corbin doesn't even come CLOSE to Shang Tsung. I find this image offensive

Personally, I was really hoping she would stand up to Brock, providing a distraction that either convinced Heyman not to cash-in or even making her the reason Seth was able to retain. But they didn’t go that way, and casting her as the nurturing significant other instead of the in-ring equalizer is just the latest in a long list of missed opportunities when it comes to WWE booking and The Man.

That's pretty simple story telling, even if he just got rid of her quick. It would mean something having her stand up to him.

 

Dont like the idea of lynch convincing heyman not to cash in...that doesn't make sense. But I do like the idea of becky being the reason the cash ends up unsuccessful. Even if it's her eating a F5, which leads to seth snapping and successfully retaining. You could create something in a heyman vs lynch program (aka insert shayna) .
