Well I’m taking my soon to be 5 year old to smackdown. He’s never been to an event like this. Let’s see if we make it through the first hour

 

Apparently Fox wants Trump to show up on smackdown

 

He was booed at his hall of fame, he wouldn’t stand a chance after all the shit he’s done since. Then again, aren’t casual wrestling fans normally more conservative over there? If they welcomed back Hogan, they’d probably cheer Trump too.

 

It all depends on where the show is

They have run the greatest hustle in WWE history. The company gets like 2 months of Maria on TV, while paying for 2 kids and a drug rehab stint.

Nope. No thank you please. If I can’t get TV14 because some of the audience won’t like it, then rednecks can’t get trump because I won’t like it.

seriously, in a world where Neville and Harper lost or are currently losing years of their prime because of contract shenanigans its awesome to see some talent play the game better than the company

 

almost 10 PM and there is one comment regarding Smackdown. lol

It’s because nothing of importance happens on these shows any longer

 

I thought smackdown was pretty solid but it could have just been that it’s because I was there. I hadn’t watched the past few weeks.

Opening dark match was Ali vs Buddy Murphy. It was a pretty good match. Ali probably got the biggest pop of the night. He won on a roll up but it was a solid match.

Crowd was into most of the segments. They were loud for the KO show and everything New Day.

Andrade vs Apollo crews was good. Also two of my favorite themes.

During some of the commercial breaks they had talent cut promos I guess to replace the wrestling that can’t happen during commercial. So in between the moment of bliss segment and the bayley/Nikki match, Buddy Murphy came out and cut a promo which was essentially him introducing himself to the smackdown roster. Later on Charlotte cut a promo to hype the dark main event which was her vs bayley.

I left before the tag match main event because my son tapped out and couldn’t make it anymore. There were two dark main events with the other being Kofi vs Ziggler.

Arena wasn’t as empty as I was expecting. The upper deck was covered but everything below was pretty full. They took a full obstructed view section and moved them to fill the empty spots in the arena. Some of them even made it to the floor on hard camera side. Sucks cuz it was one section to the left of me!

Last random note: they didn’t have a lot of merch for sale. Usually there are multiple stands and the truck in the front of the arena. There was only one stand and it had very small amount of items. The items it did have were weird such as a wwe version of the Hardy’s greatest tag team in space and time and a shit load of John Cena merch. They are still selling sin cara masks and they are $50.

 

Oh yeah and did Kofi give joe the bird? I know they showed a Bobby lashley twitter video where he called strowman a bitch and said he was gonna put him in the morgue.

 

Smackdown was super okay...but it felt like the b show more than ever. Raw has AJ Styles heel turn/return (debut) of club. Smackdown has Heavy Machinery earning a shot to be in a triple threat match. Raw has Strowman/Lashley go through the board and pyro... Smackdown has Shane mcmahon interview.

Owens was great tonight though so it saved the show

 

WWE is edgy again now with all this saying shit and showing the mfinger

I've had Cody's theme song stuck in my head all freaking morning for some reason.
