The Hawkins Ryder stuff... like I know there's a million things I could list, but it's this stuff that I really really really don't understand.

You run a winless gimmick with Hawkins for almost 2+ years. After a while you've actually got gold because when he wins it's going to be an opportunity to make an opponent look stupid..and get a big pop for hawkins as well. How do they finally decide to pop the bubble? No build, no story, no reason to care or notice...just the absolute bare minimum. Week of mania "oh, hawkins/ryder are getting a tag title shot for some reason?" And sure they win, and get a decent moment at mania, not down playing that, but you could've done a lot more. In fact, I think a proper build + win is a LOT better than winning titles at mania.

And then what do they do after they win.... legit nothing. Like why nothing? Nothing?? You'll try a trillion different ways to get reigns over but we can't try one thing to make them having the titles into something.

Trying to explain the last 2 months of the tag divisons (post-WM) is impossible. Two of the tag teams from the SD match dont even exist anymore. None of the womens tag teams do. The SD titles are on a team that wasnt a tag team at WM. The NXT tag champs vacated their titles to come up to the main roster and not get any title shots, despite a dominant win over the tag champs...the former NXT womens champ came up to the main roster to team with the former SD womens champ, so they could create a weird name and then do nothing.

There's 28 wrestlers in the main roster tag divisions by my count (im leaving D-Bry/Rowan out, though if they are on D-Bry's hometown PPV, make it 30)...all getting paid like 6 figures each I imagine...to do nothing week to week to build stories. The most any of them have gotten is The Revival back-shaving, and Sonya/Mandy cost each other matches in really dumb ways.

Why are they waiting so long for him to debut?

 

Because as soon as he debuts, they'll ruin him so enjoy it while we can?

It's so crazy how un-excited i am for people to debut. I cringe at the thought of my favorite NXT guys getting called up. I count down the minutes until others are released from their contracts. The main roster show just does not do it for me right now.

 

My guess is he debuts a few weeks before summerslam, seems like the best time for that

 

What even happened to the Viking experience? I keep forgetting they happened and then a few weeks later realizing they haven't been around

 

My guess is he debuts, winds up in a feud with like, Braun Strowman or something, gets squished, Vince rinses and repeats.

 

Vince decided he doesn't like tag teams. Legit Hawkins and Ryder who were champs weren't on tv other than the Raw after mania.

 

Maybe with the tag titles changing hands last night they will actually put effort into building that division again but I'm not holding my breath

 

Nah, he probably beat some Sami in 10 seconds or something. Squashes everyone for a few weeks and by the time the rumble happens, he comes in 16th and gets eliminated by mojo rawley or something.

 

They probably want revival vs usos at summerslam, following the worst feud build up imaginable

 

I hate it mostly because they've taken the whole "surprise" aspect out of it. Seriously, who was the last actual debut that came out of nowhere and surprised us all? Last I can think is Adam Cole (BAY BAY).
