odd. i just found out that people thought Charlotte vs Lacey was awful? I thought i missed something and rewatched it. I'm confused. Seemed fine? Aggressive. No one really geting the upper hand. I'm not seeing any botches or whatever?

maybe im drunk but a lot of those gifs just look like a brawl to me. Other than the last one, those all look like what a fight could look like. The first one, Charlotte goes for a figure 8 and gets kicked into corner... the second one looks like two people fighting eachother, someone trying to do a move and the other trying to block it... third looks like a reversal into a back breeakjer thing.

Maybe i need to get my eyes checked because it doesn't look that bad. It looks like a fight. (other than the last one).

did you miss the part where Charlotte has to show her ass to Lacey for like 5 seconds because Lacey forgot that she's supposed to break the hold with a kick there? shit sucks Lacey Evans isn't even good enough to wrestle on NXT consistently.

 

i didn't see it like that. it looked like charlotte trying to fully go for a figure four but couldnt turn the leg and Lacey finally getting the idea to just kick her forward.

Clearly im in the minority here but i just didnt think this stuff looked as bad. Maybe i'm looking at it through the eyes of someone who likes Lacey, but i think of ya'll are looking at it through the eyes that aren't into her too.

I think her character work makes up for her below average wrestling skills (and i dont even find them below average).

how so? It's like the Iiconics and Alexa Bliss. And dozens of other wrestlers in the history of wrestling. sometimes a persons mic skills/character/charisma over shadows less than average wrestling skills (and i dont even think her wrestling skills are below average, i think they're serviceable). And to me, a great character/bad wrestler > boring character/good wrestler any day of the week.

 

I'll take one Ricochet over 1000 Lacey Evans.

 

He's a good character and has charisma too, so no argument there. And yeah, there are some wrestling fans prefer in-ring:> character. I am not one of them.

Just gonna say it. I kind of have a respect for Corbin. Dude may not have deserved the ball, but he took it and ran with it. Just give him a better character and limit him to one segment.

Also, don’t have much of an opinion on Lacey but still love Charlotte.
