I actually just finished it. To be honest, the chapters are so short you probably get more from the Viceland doc.

Agreed. The Montreal episode was entertaining enough, but it suffers from the same problem as countless other specials on the screwjob: it's been talked to death. The only really new angle you could do is to have Shawn and Hunter (or Vince lol) give a more in-depth take on it, which is obviously never gonna happen. It's just always so jarring to watch one of these and never hear anything from Michaels. You could at least pull an old quote or something, because he was/has been willing to talk about it in the past.

 

I think being an employee of WWE kept em from doing anything like that. I guess you can take old quotes? Idk the rights there

I'd honestly put the odds at like 10% that Lesnar actually cashes in. This feels a LOT like Braun walking down at Summerslam with the briefcase to keep the crowd from shitting on that match. Anything to pop ratings briefly, future booking be damned.

Yeah, for sure. There was a time about 10 years ago right around after Michaels retired and before he joined WWE corporate that he was pretty willing to speak freely on it. Seems like nobody seriously approached him in that time period unfortunately, and by now he's probably sick of talking about it even if he wasn't being blocked by WWE.

Yeah that’s how I felt about the Screwjob and Von Erichs episodes. Both were well done but stories I heard forever ago. I knew about Brody’s death but felt like I learned a lot more watching that one.

 

That's true, but everyone was waiting from the first second to see when he turns on them. Cause that's pretty much all KO's character has been in WWE.
