If the finish really was totally botched, then it's on the ref as much as Ronda. If they're told to treat it like it's real and count no matter what then he should be paying attention to people's shoulders and stopping the count when they come off the mat.

 

Maybe they'll do a rematch on Raw

It's a weird wrestlemania to review/analyze. I dont think any match stole the show but nothing sucked (other than botched finish). Kofi dbry match of the night by far and everything else was more "good booking/decent match"

Not as bad as past few years but not entirely great.

It's only weird because the main event flopped so hard, imo. If that match is the stand-out (like it should've been), then you have a nice tiered layout of matches on the card.

SD Tag
Shane/Miz
Roman/Drew
Kofi/D-Bry
Joe/Mysterio
HHH/Batista
Womens Triple Threat

You'd have all the feel good moments, still have Shane + Joe for heel moments, and the show would have ended at 10:30. Could easily throw in Womens tag if you think it needs heat, I guess. The rest gets left as the 9:00, 10:00, and main events of RAW and SD.

Geez ending Mania with a Main Event you cared about and had the right result makes you reflect on it so differently the next day rather than the 3 past ones with garbage main events.

 

Yeah, the pacing of the show was actually good for something that long. Love how they spread out the three big matches. AJ/Randy was better than expected, and the Miz/Shane was fun for what it was. I thought the SD tag match delivered, as well. Triple H/Batista would have been better recieved if it wasn’t so late and everyone was looking at their watches trying to figure out when the main event would be on. If the ending of the main event goes smoothly, you have an almost perfect night aside from the length.

 

Scrap the battle royals

 

Did they say something like "this is kayfabe" during the hhh/batista match or did i fantasize?
