the amount of things that count as a glorified house show, if the definition is a show that barely furthers or affects storylines, is 50% of all WWE programming. they promote those shows all the time. of course they’re going to try to fill 70,000 seats in Australia if they can.

i just don’t care that they’re trying to sell a show. there have been entire actual PPVs that have felt as inconsequential as this and they charged $50 for us to watch those. 80% of the people annoyed that they’re pushing it are gonna watch it anyways lol. it’s a bonus to a thing you already pay for. they’re not pushing it as the next chapter in any existing stories.

 

I think glorified house show is used for when the workrate to matches are subpar. Cena and Triple H's match was a total house show match in Saudi.

it was v fun though. ladder match was good, CW title match was excellent, Rumble was fun. you would not get any of that shit at a house show. you would get Shelton Benjamin vs. Mike Bennet at a house show.
